delicious food. We ordered about 8 items for 4 people so say 2 item per person but we shared. The waiter suggested to start with these then order more if we were still hungry. Which right then I wanted to get up and leave. Who is he to tell me how much I can order? What if I wanted to order a whole page of the menu they do have a huge menu about 4 pages. I found him to be so rude. If you would like to make additions or substitutions to the menu and if you want something not on the menu good luck the waiter was not having it. The plus side is that they do have a large selection of vegetarian options. They give you a complimentary crab and cucumber salad if you can find any morsels of crab nice gesters though. The spicy edamame is super garlicky. The hamachi kama is aged smelly, and not up to par. The sookie so so fresh roll has wakame in it which is a seaweed which was so over powering flavor of the roll that's all you tasted. The jalapeno bombs were good. Another negative note is that the staff was already starting to close up before the customers were done eating. Closing blinds, two chiefs eating while making the food that was disgusting and unacceptable, bussing table before you even done with the food, and giving the check before the meal was completed.

Check-in on Yelp for some free edemame. We got the garlic spicy one, and it was yummy and huge. You also get a free appetizer (ours was imitate crab and cucumber with tempura crunch on top)

Food was good but really pricery for the portion you get.

This recent visit we ordered Aniki's Ultimate Roll (good combination of flavors, especially the charred onions. I would give it 5 stars except the tempura shrimp was soggy and cold) and this roll with salmon, hamachi, lemon, jelepeno and sriracha (this one tasted a bit weird cuz it had too much lemon and was liquidy, and it was expensive!)

Disclaimer: I have not tried their nigiri or sashimi. I tried to order uni nigiri but they didn't have uni either (I know, what a disappointment).

If I crave rolls, I would go to Sen Dai in Milpitas.

Place is always crowded and they don't take reservations. But they have a pretty fast turn around. Pretty good sushi for the price. We will try their Omakase one of these days though I'm sure it won't be as good as the one we've had in Japan.

Pretty trendy sushi place. The food is very fresh and the decor very trendy (maybe even a bit overly so). Service was great!

I will say that the roll menu itself is quite expansive, but to the point of overwhelming. While I Like variety, my mind went to mush trying to read everything.

Facebook roll, Instagram roll, Inkies roll... Seriously they named rolls after companies and SF teams! These rolls are STACKED!! Come with a fat wallet, you can't just have one roll... Also they're kinda expensive. GET SOME! GET IT!

I've heard nothing but good things about Aniki's and finally decided to try it out on a Wednesday night no less. The plaza was packed but eventually found parking a few shops away.

As I walked in, I quickly got the feeling..."Toto, I don't think we're in Fremont anymore." Okay just kidding, not that drastic. But it was unlike most restaurants in Fremont, there was about a 20 minute wait...on a weekday...in Fremont! Let that sink in for a little bit... =)

After you're seated, you get a complimentary tempura crab salad, and check in with Yelp and you get to choose 1 free appetizer (they give you 4 choices to select from) ! And that's all before you even order your sushi rolls, which I might add, is quite extensive and if you're visual friendly like me, appreciate.

Tempura Crab Salad: Yummy way to start the meal. Yes, it's fake crab meat drizzled on with tempura flakes but with some type of spicy sauce that I couldn't quite pinpoint...either way it was good.

Garlic Edamame (Yelp check in): You'll like the kick to it if you're a fan of spicy food!!

Sea steak: Thinly cut tuna slices with a jalepeno and green onion on top with their special sauce. Looked delicious from their menu, but looked better on the picture than it actually tasted.

Fremont 5-0 Roll: Out of all the rolls on their menu, I just couldn't help but try this one out. Deep fried red snapper with salmon and crab! How could I resist? Delicious and on point.

Flower Roll: If you want a simple roll, this one is it. Salmon on the inside, tuna wrapped on the outside. If you like your sushi simple, this is the roll for you!

The rolls are about $2-3 more than your average sushi bar (ranges from $13-18), so be careful, they add up!!

My food buddy and I had dinner here last Thursday. The place was crowded but the wait was not long since it was just the two of us. Got seated promptly and had an order of hot tea.

We ordered their popular rolls with some sashimi. We also had free appetizer. The rolls we ordered was:

- Aniki's Ultimate rolls = tasted alright, don't see what was all the hype about it.

- Nummi rolls = mediocre at most and kind of bland.

- Sooki's roll = this roll was unique because it was wrapped in cucumber. Tasted like a poki salad.

- Sashimi regular = Chef's choice of 12 pcs of sashimi. This was the best dish of the night for me! It was thick cut and fresh.

Overall, the food was decent. I only liked the sashimi. Service was lacking big time even though they had so many staff walking around. Had to flagged them down each time we wanted to get something. Also, some of the sushi took forever to came out, especially toward the end of our meal.

Great Japanese food in Fremont. It gets pretty busy on the weekends but it's worth the wait. It's also known to be Mike Iupati, 49ers' guard, favorite sushi place.

Definitely do dine in here & remember to redeem the check-in offer for the free app!

My dude asked me what I would like to go for dinner & I suggested this place cause I've had it bookmarked for awhile now. It was really busy on a Friday night so we put on our name on the waitlist & just walked around PetCo next door to kill time. Came back and realized that they had called our name while we were in the store, but it was cool cause we got a table right away anyways. For the free app, we went with the Japanese nachos which was really good! Refreshing & tasty! Then we picked OMG roll, Thomas Ultimate Roll, & Sharks roll. All rolls were pretty good, but the most outstanding was the OMG roll. I made fun of my dude for picking Sharks roll since he plays hockey. Hehe.. The place is pretty petite but very modern and pretty. Service is friendly & fast. Definitely would come back again to dine in. Dining in is more worth it than taking it to go, cause you can get the free app. ;)
