Just outside the station of Genoa, not far from the port, in what is the entrance to the popular district of Pré, you can admire the wonderful arches of the Commenda di Pré.
Difficult to explain in substance what you will have in front of you, in fact the complexity comes from this, it is about two Romanesque churches that are superimposed. The commenda is both the convent and the hospital that welcomed both those who went to the Holy Land.
The nave of the upper church is an incredible architectural formulation, beautifully rendered with stones of different colors, as on the white and black rhomboid flooring.
