Penang Bridge stretches 13.5 km and connects the city of Gelugor to the mainland of Malaysia. The bridge was completed in 1985, finally allowing busy IT factory workers and tourists to reach the popular island without leaving their cars. A second bridge is currently in the works with a scheduled completion year of 2013.

You will cross this bridge when you will arrieve to Penang by bus or car. Also from several points you can spotted him and he creates amazing background.

Pretty visually impressive bridge spanning the straights and connecting Penang Island to the Malaysian mainland. With traffic it can take a fairly long time to drive across, in fact the ferry is often faster. Nevertheless, it is makes a pretty cool picture
