The Hilton is a brand you can trust. Sure, this North Glendale location is in need of an update (which is supposedly in the works), but it's comfortable and convenient, able to fill your needs whether you're traveling for business or pleasure. The standard rooms offer the basic necessities, while the amenities include a top floor lounge with a citywide view, a past its prime gift shop (that does sell local microbrews - yeah!) and indoor/outdoor dining. There are meeting rooms, video conferencing equipment and a business center if you need to put ins some work. The hotel is less than a mile away from The Americana and Glendale Galleria if you want to grab a bite, a movie, or an outfit, before heading out to Hollywood, Downtown or the Valley, which are all about 30 minutes away.

Whenever I see a wedding party getting in limos, I know the hotel is posh. I bumped into a wonderful and beautifully dressed wedding party and was amazed by the service they were receiving from the hotel. Doors and car doors were held open for them, and it just seemed like the hotel went above and beyond for them. It’s probably also a great place to get married or have meetings because it’s close enough to Burbank Airport and they provide complimentary shuttle service.
They have a restaurant on site, but the most amazing thing about the Hilton (other than the size of their gift shop) is the Horizon’s Lounge on the 19th floor (rooftop, basically). It has great views, though if you invite your friends, you have to meet them downstairs. It takes hotel key cards to get above the lobby.

I stayed here for my friend's wedding. I decided to get a room since I don't live in the area and the thought of driving home after a night of celebrating with open bar seemed unlikely. We were able to secure a group discount which was nice. The bed is so comfortable and the bathroom was squeaky clean. I had a view of the top of a building and not much else. However, I love the Hilton rooms because with my AAA card, I received free bottles of water and extra toiletries. Score. This is a great place to stay if you need to crash for the evening. Prices fluctuate depending on time of year and availability.

Over time I have become less of a Priceline fan. But I still do use them, but there are certainly some kinks that can potential ruin your trip.

On a recent overnight in Southern California I booked this Hilton on PL. After checking another site to check out winning bids in the area I bod $77 and was awarded the Hilton. The price was right and location perfect, however upon check in we requested a "non smoking room". When we walked in our room we were greeted to anything but. There were no signs of as trays, but the stench of smoke was unbearable. We immediately decided to go back downstairs to the lobby and see if there was anything they could do for us. Let me put it this way, if the hotel was sold out we were willing to eat the nights stay and go elsewhere.

When we got to the check in, we were told that our room was in fact a nonsmoking room, but that it was located on a "smoking floor". Holy frack! After using our negotiating skills they finally did give in and found another room on a "non smoking floor". The room was fine, nothing special just your basic business type hotel room. It was bit dated and even though PL billed this a 4 star hotel, I would say it was more in the 3 1/2 star class at best.

They do have all the amenities you would expect, but you will pay for them. For example, if you are looking to print out your boarding pass you can use one of the computers in the lobby and you will be charged. Two boarding passes cost me around $4.00.

All in all, the hotel is decent and did the trick but it was nothing special and not a property I would seek out in the future.
