sports, while those more oriented towards culture will be satisfied by the historic cosmopolitan capital of Las Palmas. Those wanting beaches are spoiled for choice, but that of Maspalomas is one of the longest. And for a little taste of the Sahara, try the dunes of Maspalomas.

Brilliant island with loads to do if you’re happy to explore and get away from the touristy bits. Beautiful world class beaches, world tour circuit for surfing and windsurfing, sailing (“the Arc” leaves from here) and plenty more to see in the capital Las Palmas along with the bountiful quaint interior with its beautiful passage and villages and Festivals, along with a major Carnival in February every year... go and explore!

There's little to redeem this Canary Island which tends to attract the worst sort of tourist, which want to eat familiar foods and stay in concrete monstrosities which have ruined the coastline of this once beautiful place. Head up into the mountains and all is redeemed, though be warned, it can get pretty chilly.

The island of eternal spring, how beautiful it is, everything blooms, it smells, the birds are singing, the ocean, the smoke. The historic Vegeta in Las Palmas is the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. There were three days oh my god why so little, the resort town, the dunes, the lighthouse and a lot of the sea traveled to Maspomas. I recommend in winter and spring, when you want warmth and sun, this is a balm for a cold and long Russian winter.
