Description
The Skywalk offers visitors an absolutely stunning view of the Grand Canyon, from a Glass Bridge suspended 4,000 ft above the Colorado River. Located on the Hualapai reservation just west of Grand ... Read more
Canyon Village, this $40 million architectural marvel juts out 70 ft from the edge of the chasm, with a glass-bottomed walkway revealing the canyon from a dizzying perspective. Opened in March 2007, upwards of one million pounds of steel went into the construction of the Skywalk, which can withstand 71 million pounds of weight and canyon winds of 100mph. All in all, a not-to-be-missed, seeing-is-believing, step-out-over-eternity experience, even for the likes of Buzz Aldrin. Admission USD25.

This was a hit with our friend, though the weather is hot but we still insist to be here. Must visit even though you are really afraid.

Skywalk was closed as we arrive a little after 5pm. Must come here to test out my fear on heights by walking on glass and looking down at all times, ok, next time!

The picture is not the skywalk because they would not allow electronics on the skywalk but this is almost near it. The skywalk is a glass horseshoe sticking out of a cliff overlooking a piece of the grand canyon. It's safe but Some people do get scared because of the height lol It's a really great experience if you're into heights and new experiences

The Skywalk provided an excellent experience at Grand Canyon West. The only negative was that they would not allow you to take your own camera.

Know what you are getting and what the costs are before you go. It is a LONG drive on a bumpy dirt road. Note that you can't take a camera with you on the Skywalk. The view is amazing, but not sure it was worth the drive and cost.

We paid $75 just to walk on this skywalk which I think is not worth it. Yes it is a once in a lifetime experience but just looking the grand canyon without having to walk on that skywalk is enough and saves you money definitely. it was indeed a breathtaking sight of grand canyon bit I'm not going back during summer because it's excruciatingly hot. I had fun though.

Hey Tiffany, I checked this one out at West Canyon (closer to Vegas) and for $50 I think it was worth it. You put little cloth booties over your shoes and walk out on a glass structure so you can stare straight down into the Canyon. They end up charging you an extra $20 or something like that for a mandatory 1 mile round-trip bus-ride to the skywalk, so there is a hidden cost.

Amazing Scenery but at the same time terrifying. I'm not good with heights. You are wearing these little white shoe covers so you don't scratch the glass you are walking on. I wasn't the only one who shuffled very quickly to the other side.

The Skywalk at the Grand Canyon is awesome! It's a bit of a trek from the more visited spots but you can a few hour tour bus from Vegas, or you can stay a about 1-2 hours away in Kingman and check out a section of Route 66 like I did. Come with some money though; you must pay for a shuttle that makes 4 stops along the rim, one of which is the Skywalk at Eagles Point with another fee for the Skywalk. Definitely worth it though!

I loved the skywalk, at first my husband was terrified, as we were walking around the half circle he started to get a little gamer, I recommend this trip, expecially on the coaches, also I loved meeting the American Indians (Hopi ) all in the cowboy and Indian dress, I think we met the chief, it was a lovely and educational day.

What an amazing engineering feat to build this glass bottom footbridge that perches out of the edge of the canyon!

The Skywalk is owned and commissioned by the Hualapai tribe that means the visit will include an insider s look of the Hualapai culture and beliefs which were an eye opener.

The walk itself almost seem too short but the technical achievement and the architectural feat that went into building of this adventurous tourist attractive was no short walk.
