figured if you’re going to live life, you ought to live it hard, without regrets. After some initial challenges, due to making well balanced but unremarkable beers, we were on the verge of bankruptcy.

Founders is one of the top craft beer companies in the country, and if you are a beer-pilgrim coming to visit Grand Rapids, you have to stop by this shrine. There's plenty of space for all your friends, and a warm environment, if a little loud on the weekends.

Lots of beer selections. Sandwiches are pretty good and a good portion size. Heated patio is a bonus. Definitely worth a stop in while you're in the Grand Rapids area.

More hipsters than you can shake a Walkman at. Foods decent beer is great but it's always busy and Grand Rapids has better to offer.

Good food. Weird method of waitressing though because 3 different people "waited" on us. Big sandwiches that we were able to share leftovers with a homeless man. Beer was good

Founder's is one of my favorite craft beer makers in the world. Breweries like this one are the reason that Grand Rapids was named Beer City U.S.A.! Their sandwiches are pretty dang good too. The bar has high ceilings and a view of the brewery, which is cool to see. The one downfall to Founder's is that they cater to a certain taste, and don't have an extremely wide variety of flavors. That said, I still think that you can find something for everyone here (go for Rubaeus if you're into light, fruity flavors). If you're doing a Grand Rapids beer crawl, make sure Founders is included on your list of stops.

I probably don't have to tell you how amazing Founder's beer is, so I'll rave about the location. Founder's is an amazing place to hang out. I brought my Canadian cousins there last year and they still haven't stopped talking about it. We drank beer outside comfortably by the fire as it snowed in late November. Amazing.

Rated as a top 25 craft brewery in America, and I agree. They are building a beer garden which will only make this place better. Parking sucks for now.

The atmosphere here is really great. We went on a sunny afternoon and they had the front wall open, allowing air and people to pass from the main dining area to the deck without separation. It created a really great place to have lunch and enjoy a few beers. The sandwiches are delicious and they have tons of their own beers on tap. I'm a big fan of fresh food ingredients and craft beers so this place just hit it out of the park for me. They have a stage and I saw many posters advertising shows so I imagine the evenings and weekends with live music are a really good time.
