Ranked as one of the top 10 tourist’s attractions in Guangzhou, the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees is a time-honored temple boasting towering pagodas. First built in 537 A.D., it was later rebuilt in 989 A.D.
One of the most famous pagodas, Qianfo, meaning a thousand Buddha’s, is striking and multicolored. Fifty-seven meters tall, this pagoda was a famous high-rise building in ancient Guangzhou.
To the east of the pagoda, there is a Maitreya Hall, Hall of Heavenly Kings, and Weituo Hall. To the west of the pagoda, is the solemn Great Buddha Hall which houses three large brass Buddhist statues that date back to Emperor Kangxi reign.

This temple is a hidden gem and the three large Buddha statues that represent the past, present and future are amazing to see. It can get busy at times. There is also a small entrance fee 5RMB.

Liurong Temple in Guangzhou already more than 200 years old. The building still kept good and many prayers came here to pray for peace and healthy.
