The Hotel Hershey sits high atop Pat's Hill, overlooking downtown Hershey and Hersheypark. It was built by Milton Hershey during his Great Building Campaign of the 1930s. The design is based on a hotel he visited in the Mediterranean and includes an indoor fountain worthy of the Alhambra, a Spanish patio, Castilian ballroom and Iberian lounge. I spent a lot of time wandering the halls looking at the historic photos that decorate the walls. There are display cases as well, full of fascinating items from the hotel's early days. Like staying in a luxurious museum!

The top place to stay in Hershey since 1933. Classy and graceful but family-friendly and not stuck-up. I agree with one previous review that at the Hotel Hershey you’re not just paying for your room, you’re paying for all the extras (which is cool as long as you take advantage of them). You can take a yoga lesson at the fitness center or hang out in the huge indoor pool and hot tub. The outdoor pool is practically a water park. There is ice skating out back in the winter (for a surcharge). The rooms are decked-out pretty nicely but a little on the smallish side for such an upmarket hotel. I spent an hour just exploring the property—there are multiple gift shops, a coffee shop, a gorgeous lobby, and three restaurants. The Circular Dining Room would be my choice for a refined meal before heading to the Iberian Lounge for a cocktail. The hardwood décor interior is the original design of Milton Hershey’s.

Treat yourself! Stay at Hotel Hershey and experience several different kinds of chocolate products and excellent facilities. Working as the number one hotel in Hershey since 1933, this property shows the rich history of this area. Loved all the historic black and white photos in the hallway. Indoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, and a lot of free classes come with the room including weekly yoga class. There are several gift shops with Hershey products, and Hotel Hershey’s favourites. You can enjoy the hotel's waterpark with a big water slide in summer, and outdoor ice-rink in winter. Four distinctive golf courses, s’mores roast, and many other activities on the property. It will take more than one day to explore the property only. Located right across the street from the Hershey Park and Hershey’s Chocolate World.

Hershey - the Chocolate capitol of the USA! The beds here are incredibly comfortable. I have even thought of asking where they get the mattresses! The main hotel was built around 1900 and has been very well maintained. There are some new cottages behind the main edifice which are fabulous for a family or group of friends. The spa is great, a chocolate body scrub is scrumptious! The food is excellent and there are plenty of great restaurants in the area. The hotel sits on top of a hill in rural central Pennsylvania and has great views. Be sure and have a chocolate martini in one of their bars. An outlet mall is nearby if that is your thing, and of course, Hershey Park with amusement rides and big name entertainment.

Rather pricey for very small rooms. For a family of four staying for a week, there is limited room to store suitcases, etc. You are definitely paying for the extras: pools, sports complex (lots of stuff to play), shuttle to the park, etc.
