five dollar parking across the street , just don't forget to ask Library bar to Validate it!

I come here ever so often and perhaps because its small but it always pretty much gets pretty crowded!
My friend actually proposed to his girlfriend there that night ( since it was there first date. ) The owner of the bar were pretty cool and gave them a comped bottle of champagne !

Btw- all the books on the shelves are actual books, so go ahead and grab a book and read while drunk in the dim light!

I kind of wished they hire more bartenders, theres only 2 serving a mass amount of people...some people just gave up on ordering anything and decided on leaving because its so pack!

Small bar but incredible drinks thanks to the mixology masters that use ingredients from the local farmers market!

Pretty small and intimate bar located right in the heart of Hollywood. It's a part of the hotel, so don't feel weird going through the lobby and whatnot. Comfortably fits parties of 2-4, you'd be pushing it with 6-7 unless you guys like to stand or are ok with going into the other room where there is a wide open seating area (which can better fit up to ~10 people partiest I think).

What particularly made this place amazing were, of course, the drinks. The bartender paid close attention to each person, and used fresh ingredients to craft each concoction (he even had a juicer!). Many of my friends and I didn't know what we wanted to order, so we told him elements of drinks we liked, and he made drinks custom to what we wanted. Almost everyone said that it was the best drink they ever had (for me, certainly!). It WAS also the most expensive at $17/drink, but I would recommend you come for the experience and quality.

A 5 star property and bastion of Old Hollywood Glamour; the property holds Teddy's one of the hottest nightspots in town, along with 42 Degrees, the best burger in the City. Art deco pool is famous.

**Do not confuse this place for Library Bar in DTLA. TOTALLY DIFFERENT**

With that mentioned, I've been to the Library Bar without even knowing it was called the Library Bar. When entering the Hollywood Roosevelt, this place already has a vintage Harry Potter feel to it. Many may enjoy drinking in the lobby (it's a nice spacious lobby). A bit in the left near corner is another isolated area. This is the Library Bar. The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel seems to be a go-to spot for many gatherings. This single hotel has at least 5 bars contained in it. I've been to several events here and it's always at a different bar in this hotel. The Library Bar is the smallest and most intimate. It's also the most decorated giving the feel of being surrounded by books.

On a Thursday night, my group of 6 was the largest group in the bar. At most, there would be maybe 4 or 5 others, but nothing more. Friday and Saturday nights would probably fare differently. I didn't get the same 5-star treatment that the other's touted here. In fact, I didn't exactly get the same level of service either, being failed to be acknowledged at a bar with only 2 people sitting. Shortly thereafter, I would be joined by another in my group to check on what's the hold-up. I cannot deny the experience that others may have had here, but mine was spoiled by a lack of service. The drink that I ended up having was a unique berry based vodka mix, but it was too seedy and not legendary.

Incredible mixology. The bartender asked us what we wanted and proceeded to ask us some specifics and then create his own cocktails to our taste. Has a balsamic strawberry gin cocktail and a persimmon rum/whiskey cocktail that was impeccably fresh.

If you're craving a mixologist staffed bar with a quaint and quiet environment, check out this bar tucked away in the corner of Roosevelt Hotel. There's no menu, you simply tell the bartender what type of tastes you prefer and liquor and let them go at it. Sweet? Spicy? Savory? You're guaranteed satisfaction to suit your needs. Reminds me of the speakeasys on the East Coast.

I love the Library Bar at the Roosevelt. I believe they open around 9pm?!? But their mixologists are the best! You pretty much tell them what type of drinks you like and they will go at it. The last time I was there I told them I liked passion fruit. He created a drink that tasted like passion fruit but didn't have any in there. He gave me a list of what was in there but I can't remember. It was made with a variety of fresh fruits. I would go there more then I do if it wasn't so expensive. I think the drinks run about $17 and they are not big :(

But, from time to time I like to indulge...they are the best in the area!

I've been out of the Hollywood bar scene for a while, but I am pretty sure that for the best craft cocktails, this is THE place to get them. You'll find local celeb bartender Matt Biancaniello behind the bar concocting the most amazing drinks with fresh fruits and exotic ingredients. You'd swear you were at a farmer's market with all the colorful fruits and herbs beautifully displayed on the bar.

We got The Roquette and Sage Heaven, based on recommendations from a girl next to us at the bar. They were gorgeous looking drinks. The Roquette is an arugula gimlet with Hendrick's Gin, and the Sage Heaven is a gin based drink with muddled raspberries and sage topped off with some ginger beer. Both were very refreshing, but VERY pricey. Expect to pay $16 a pop for these bad boys.

The bar itself is sexy and very intimate. It is indeed a nice spot for some canoodling. I'd recommend starting off with some yummy cocktails here first, and then taking them over to Teddy's next door for some more lounging and dancing.
