Stayed at here from Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 to Monday, May 21st, 2018.
- Check-In: (5/5) Quick and friendly staff. Kathi helped us. [I must note that we did check-in at 9:00 PM because we had a late flight so there was no one else. The peak times I noticed for check-in here was 3:00 PM with the check-in line being about 15 to 20 minute wait.]
- Rooms: (4/5) Booked for an 'Ocean View Room' got upgraded to an 'Ocean Front Room' free of charge. Then we eventually upgraded to the Penthouse Suite room 3905.Both rooms are very spacious, somewhat modern. The carpet makes it look dated but overall very clean and spacious room. Provided us blow-dryer, robes, slippers, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
- Amenities: (4/5) The pool is a fair size but not as big as I expected for such a large hotel. The hot tub is a good size and the gym won me over, even though I didn't end up using it I did check it out. Gym is open 24/7, good size and has all necessary equipment - cardio machines, cables, squat machine, dumbbells, barbells, etc.
- Staff/Customer Service: (5/5) From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. There was one issue we experienced when we wanted to transfer to the penthouse, and we were told that staff would take our luggage/belongings from our previous room up to our new room. We left for the day and made sure all our stuff was neatly packed. However, when we got back at around 3:30PM our old room was getting cleaned, our bags were still sitting in there, and no one had contacted us about our new room. It took some consistent e-mails and calls to the assistant manager, Kai, who apologized for the delay. He explained that the previous occupants did a late check out and they were experiencing very busy check-ins. We completely understood but were unhappy with the fact that they didn't communicate this to us and we were left without a room for a little as our old room was getting cleaned and we didn't want to go in there while it was being serviced. Nevertheless, the manager apologized and Kai ended up reaching out to us and covering all our room charges to make up for the issue.
- Overall: 9/10 - Aside from the minor issue we experienced with moving rooms, the pool size, and the construction that was occurring which prevented us from going onto the balcony in our first room it was an excellent stay. I would purely come back for the customer service, they really care about their clients here.

Staying here for years. The hospitality is always overwhelming and heart warming. 39th floor views.
Suite life spoils you.

Hyatt Regency in Waikiki has always been one of my favorite hotels. With a courtyard with waterfall, parrots, fine dining and neat shops, it's a nice break away from the chaos of Kalakaua at night.

I have stayed here several times.
It is huge and impersonal.
It caters to a mostly Japanese Clientele and there are always big crowds as this hotel also caters to groups and conventions.
It is across the street from waikiki beach and the pool is on the 9th floor along with a restaurant that has great food and drinks overlooking the city.
Rooms are big and because the hotel towers are round most of the city view rooms also have views of the ocean.

Right in the heart of Waikiki, the Hyatt Regency may be a chain, but it's slicker than a lot of the other overpriced properties by the beach. There's tons of fun for kids here (including Camp Hyatt activities, so parents can get some time alone), and the beach is just a short walk outside your door. It's midway down the Kalakaua Ave strip, which is convenient, too.

Stayed here with out of towner friends. I was really impressed by this hotel.

The rooms are very spacious and very clean. The beds were nice and comfy too. Although we didn't have the ocean view, we still had the great view of the mountains side. The morning sunrise was beautiful and the fresh hawaiian breeze was so refreshing. Only a few hundred feet walk from all the stores and boutiques and all the high-end stores are right on the hotel's door steps.

Checkin was a breeze! Beautiful room and outstanding view!!! The room is a nice size, balcony with table and 2 chairs, dresser, 2 end tables, nice desk, mini fridge and laptop size safe. This room is on the 33rd floor, Diamond head tower.

San Jose, California

It's a nice Hotel. Pretty open lobby. It's a short walk from the beach. The location was great.

This hotel is right across the street from the Duke Kahanamoku statue and Waikiki Beach. There are a number of shops in the hotel and in the surrounding buildings, including an ABC Store. There are two towers of rooms, and the Oceanside has some great views of all the surfers. The rooms are standard size with standard amenities.

San Francisco, California, USA

Though right in the middle of Waikiki bustle and noise, this Hyatt is deliberately designed to be an oasis. Not directly on the beach, it at least looks over Kalakaua Avenue for an unbroken view of the ocean. The two narrow towers of rooms are connected by an open air mini-mall and a 2nd floor patio level, which are much nicer than I'm making them sound. :) It's a really nice hotel that's very central.
