Great location and probably one of my favorite buildings in Honolulu. If you go to the bar by the beach, make sure to order the Pink Palace! Perfect drink for that hot weather!

Also known as the Pink Palace, the centrally located hotel in the heart of Honolulu's shopping district is a wonderful place to stay. The property borders the beach on one side, and has plenty of restaurants and nightlife options within walking distance. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms/suites are well appointed.

The grand dame is a pink lady! At the Royal Hawaii there is no shortage of pink…pink towels in the room, pink napkins at the restaurants, pink beach chairs at the beach…The location is very central and this is a great choice to get a more traditional Hawaiian hospitality experience.

As far as hotels go, it doesn't really get much finer than the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. If you want to experience the feel of Hawaiian royalty in the early 20th century, simply look upon the beautiful architecture in the lobby. "Magical" is perhaps the best word to describe it.

The hotel also features my favorite beach area in Waikiki. It's not as crowded, and the sand and water seem cleaner than the more populated areas of the waterfront.

Royalty is how you'll feel and be treated at The Royal Hawaiian. Also known as "The Pink Palace of the Pacific", it's one of the first resort hostelry in America, as described by Honolulu Star Bulletin when it first opened. It's been a playground for Hawaiian Royalty, international royalty, Hollywood celebs, heads of state, movie scenes, and many thousands of travelers that flock to Waikiki wanting to experience living in luxury. The open-air halls are grand and spacious, the restaurants and bars are beautifully designed with stunning views of Diamond Head and Waikiki, and the grounds are well manicured with a lot of island flowers and plants. It's rich with history as well, stunning hotel inside and out.

If I could afford limitless luxury in Waikiki, this is where I'd book myself into - if the Halekulani resort was already full, of course. The Royal Hawaiian, which is nicknamed the 'Pink Palace' for reasons that will be obvious once you arrive, is one of Waikiki's oldest historic hotels. A recent head-to-toe renovation has really gussied up the place. Stop by the concierge desk to ask for a self-guided tour brochure of the extensive gardens. The mai tais at the beachfront bar are outstanding, as is the live music and solo Hawaiian hula dancers almost nightly at the oceanfront bar.

You can't miss seeing this pretty pink hotel located in the heart of Waikiki. The beautifully landscaped grounds and authentic Hawaiian decor is just part of this luxury hotel. This is the home of the popular Mai Tai Bar and Ilima award winning restaurant Azure. The breathtaking views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head make picture perfect postcards as well. If you're in the neighborhood, take a stroll down there, but let me warn you. .. you may not want to leave! :)

As beautiful as it is history-rich, the Royal Hawaiian was the second hotel built on Waikiki beach. Love the romance of the grounds, the classic feel and perfect location steps away from shopping and the lively energy of Kalakaua Avenue,

Great hotel thats part of the historic areas of Waikiki. It shows up in old movies every so often. There is a great open floor plan in the lobby and you can just hang out downstairs taking in the breeze without the burn.

They offer complimentary lawn chairs outside so that you can lounge and people watch all day long.

Pro Tip: The banana bread that they provide is to die for.

I have stayed at the Royal Hawaiian twice in the last three years, once in the historic building and once in the 1969 tower. Both have their advantages and both have been renovated in the last few years.

The historic building has larger rooms and taller ceilings, but most of them have no balcony and no ocean view. The coconut grove view and the front driveway view are nice, but it's not like looking at the pacific ocean and Waikiki Beach. The view and the balconies are the primary reason why the 1969 tower is an attractive option. The rooms are a little smaller, but who cares! We very much enjoyed our room on the 8th floor overlooking that gorgeous stretch of beach and aqua blue water! Even the view from the corridor leading to the elevator, of the buildings in Waikiki is interesting.

We love the assortment of shops available on the ground floor of the historic building. Tori Richard, Cartier, and Hula-la Swimwear are just a few. Azure is an excellent and creative seafood restaurant on the ocean side, and the Mai Tai Bar is perfection for the signature drink and people watching.

One of the best things about the RH is its location on Waikiki Beach. Gray's Beach, the stretch of sand in front of the hotel is one of the nicest stretches on the whole beach, and it's delightful to walk out in the clear water until you're neck deep.

I really can't say enough great things about the Royal Hawaiian. It's history alone is such an intriguing aspect of both the location and the hotel itself. I appreciate it so much that it almost feels like home.

This is the most prettiest hotel on the island of O'ahu I thought. Not to mention the color itself is already pretty. (in Pink) The entrance alone will take your breath away. With displays of fresh locally and exotic flowers all around the hotel.

Having an afternoon tea here was memorable for me. It's like, I am back in England allover again.

This is my favorite hotel in the world. The private beach area on Wakiki is a huge draw and benefit. I love having an afternoon drink by the beach. Its great to watch the sunrise and set at the restaurant. The hotel remain calm despite all the chaos outside.
