So many things to do, only if you got the money though. It's always easier to not actually stay there but still swim there.

This is probably the best resort in Hawaii, definitely the best for families hands down.

We stayed 1 week at the Aulani and it was just met expectation. Keep in mind this is not your typical Disney theme park so cast members here may not be as friendly as you would expect. Will try other resorts next time around.

What an amazing experience! My family and I stayed for a birthday weekend and never stopped having fun for the full 3 days. There was always something going on to keep the kids happy and busy, as well as tropical drinks to keep mom and dad happy. Would definitely recommend for families and couples wanting a fun alternative to Waikiki.

The Disney Hotel has several great restaurants and one offers an all you can eat Seafood buffet. They have some little shops inside as well where you can pick up some unique (Disney Hawaii) souvenirs.
They also have a Spa if you need to relax while in Hawaii.

far away from the action, but there is a small cove for you to play in the water. better suited for families who wont be leaving the resort to explore other parts of the island

So I've never stayed at the resort, but my family loves coming out for a meal and then hanging out in the lagoons. The waters are calm and usually great for beginners, or sun bathers. Parking can get hard to find, but thats why we valet for a meal at Aulani.

If you need your Disney fix go visit the fabulous Aulani and see Mickey and all his friends. Amazing architecture and attention to detail.

Stayed here the second week it was open. We are owners at DVC in Hawaii the staff and facilities are top notch. Had a great view every morning from our balcony of the ocean and pool area. Not to be missed is the 5 star spa the treatments are outstanding that the private water area was get for soaking in. Will be back in September 2013.

I stayed at the Aulani for a night to celebrate a friend's wedding. The wedding ceremony was held outdoors on the Halawai Lawn and then the reception and dinner quickly followed in the Kaiona Ballroom. The ballroom was huge and I think about 200 guests were in attendance. The dinner portion was a buffet and they had tons of good food to choose from which included ahi poke, roasted pig, prime rib, and chicken. If you are looking to host a wedding or event at the Aulani, it is worth taking a look.

I was able to stay at the Aulani for one night, but wished I could have stayed a few more days to make the most of out of what the resort had to offer. In my short stay here, I was able to check out the pool areas, snorkel, lay out on the beach, and attend the Character Breakfast at Makahiki. A cool thing to note is that if you arrive early before you are able to check in to your room or leave a little later after you check out, you can still use their facilities. They have a Hospitality Lounge where you can sit, watch tv, or use the showers.

I admit it: I'm not a Disney fan. At all. But this is hands down the most exquisitely designed resort at Ko Olina. It's an all-encompassing experience for families, from the hula dancing lessons by the pool to storytime hour to the gobstopping spa. Rates aren't cheap, but they do include many freebies and activities. The biggest drawback - and it's enough to prevent me from recommending this place to friends and family - is how far away it is from everything else on the island. It's a 45-minute drive at least to Waikiki. You'll feel isolated here and after a few days, you may have 'resort fever' and be desperate to find somewhere to be that's more natural and less artificial. But if you're the kind of person who likes to check in and never leave the resort grounds until your vacation is over, it's a fab choice.

From the pool of velvety sting rays to the playful watercourse with an exhilarating tube ride, Aulani provides plenty of fun and relaxation uniquely designed with both adults and kids in mind.

Simply Amazing! Eight of us went in May 2012 for a week and had the most relaxing vacation ever. The only bad part of the trip was when we took a day trip to Honolulu.

This is the kind of resort you never need to leave. Great food, great pools, nice beach and more activites than you can imagine.

It's definitely family friendly but you do not need to have children to enjoy Aulani. I have zero tolerance for children but I still had the best time ever and was rarely annoyed by screaming, crying, etc.

Make sure you get shaved ice with ice cream and condensed milk while you are at the pool.

So well done, not what I was expecting at all. Wood and natural, great pools and kids clubs. The rooms and property as whole is tastefully decorated.

Beautiful Disney resort in Ko'Olina. Great for families, obviously, but very upscale accommodations and amenities that it doesn't feel like you're at a Disney resort.

Beautiful resort. Very busy, with lots of kids. 'Character' breakfasts but high prices. Pool side Happy Hour.

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights in a standard view room. We were welcomed with flavored water and leis - tuber roses for me, kokui nuts for him. Our room was very nice, mini-fridge, big bathtub, and the view from the balcony was coconut trees. Heavy glass doors kept the noise out; heavy curtains kept the light out. Glad that breakfast from the Olelo Room was included because it would have been $25-$30 each day otherwise. Lots of stuff to do... Disney movies on the big screen every night, Hawaiian stories by the fire, making Hawaiian crafts, hot tubs, swimming pools, and a tour of all the plants on the property. Have your picture taken with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Stitch. The lagoon is great for watching sunset. The horseback riding excursion was awesome. Germaine's luau was not. Thought about renting a car from the hotel but at $60/day and an extra $50 to drop it off at a different location (the airport), we decided not to. Weather was great every day!

Tip: there's a grocery store across the street from the resort that has spam sushi, fresh papaya and Aloha Maid soft drinks.

A fun and awesome Disney themed resort on Oahu, located on the west side at Ko'Olina. There's waterfalls, exotic local flowers, tiki torches that gives it the Hawaiian and Polynesian feel, but still incorporates Disney's touch with cartoon characters in their decor and throughout the resort. Walk around and you'll bump into a character or two. Even the food has Disney characters and symbols. A fun and relaxing place for adults and keikis.
