(24C). While battling the crowds is normally something to avoid, this city has a pretty tolerable high season, in part because there are enough hotels to handle the spike, and also because the city is alive and buzzing with exciting activity, including the splashy Art Basel Miami Beach in December, during this time. The alternative would be to come between May and November when the weather is hot, reaching 90F (32C), and hurricanes are ever-looming.

While aimlessly driving in Miami, we came across the beach by accident, with breathtaking views.

Key Biscayne is the south eastern tip of Florida. I spent one day of my honeymoon there and was literally swept away by strong currents and breathtaking view. Approx: $8 per car, small beachside cafe, bike rentals and showers made this an awesome getaway.

i absolutely love key biscayne! Its filled with things to do and since it is an island, there are tons options. You can do anything from kitesurfing, to having a family picnic at Bill Baggs State Park, or relax in the luxury that is the Ritz Carlton Resort. There are an endless array of activities so you will never be bored and always have something to do.

Superb park lovely beach with a great history. You will love the view at the top of the lighthouse. There are lots of camping grounds. The beach is great for swimming and for water sports for which there are plenty available.

This little island/town is extremely popular with the locals of Miami. Less crowded and touristy than downtown or any of the other beaches near there, Key Biscayne and Biscayne Bay are great places to go enjoy the small beach-town feel that the rest of the beaches in Miami have lost to time and popularity. Bonus: The Miami Seaquarium has its home here, and the bridge from the mainland to the island is an AMAZING view.

Key Biscayne is a really relaxing island, with very nice estates and parks. I love Cape Florida Lighthouse and the beach. It is so relaxing and romantic taking a walk along the beach, observing nature and listening to the sea.

Beautiful clear warm water beaches
