Kuching Vacations

A pleasant and likable riverside town, Kuching is the capital city of the state of Sarawak and the largest city of Malaysian Borneo. The historic city and its quiet, clean streets and cultural offerings are interesting enough for a couple days exploration and a make good base to explore nearby attractions in the region such as Bako National Park ... Kuching is known as cat city. And beyond the iconic cat statue and few murals, you'll find real cute kitties almost anywhere you go

A laid-back town, a good place to hang out for a while. Compared to the neighboring state's capital, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching's waterfront is longer and easier to walk. Good food is guaranteed.

A pleasant and easy-going riverside town, Kuching is likely the spot you'll land if traveling to Sarawak, on Malaysian Borneo. The town has a few old building and a market and a nice riverside walk. Be sure to eat some delicious Sarawak laksa before you leave, but for the really good stuff, you'll have to head out to the hawker centers in the suburbs.

One of my favorite cities in Malaysia, Kuching is a beautifully designed city that incorporates nature almost everywhere you go. The walk along the river is beautiful at sunset, and tons of restaurants set up tables along the cobblestone strip. Once you've sampled the food and seen a few of the impressive temples, make sure to take a bus to Semenggoh Wildlife Centre to see orangutans in their almost-completely-natural environment.

Yeah, "City Hall" - whoopee doo.
The attraction is the incredibly extensive cat museum on the main floor. Kuching = Cat.
What stars? And your links don't work. This is maybe the buggiest and emptiest and most error ridden site I've ever seen.

Lot's to do and lot's to see. From China town to the surrounding national parks. Look up 'The Nook' for a great place to stay with a great host.

This is a city that definitely grows on you. A city you planned on staying in for a day and end hanging out for 3. Its a great jumping off point for trips to various national parks through various well run hostels. The food is incredible ranging from Chinese bbq to Indian lamb kofta. The people here are also very friendly.
It also providers a dose of much needed civilization. Whether it be restocking on books, having a cold beer, or going to the cinema.
