succulent sea urchin so fresh that it almost wiggled off the plate. The Piselli Agnolotti Pasta with peas, morels, burrata, bay leaf and lemon was heavenly and I'm glad we saved room for the yummy Blackberry Crostata vanilla gelato. Can't wait to go back and sample more of the menu.

Cool looking space with a great cocktail menu. Food looked great, but I only had drinks during their Happy Hour.

Enjoyed my drink with a coworker after work there! Loved the atmosphere and vibe! Great place to go for a glass of wine!

First time diner for anniversary. Excellent wait staff and very pleasant ambience. Food was great. Had whole snapper for 2. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

If you love authentic Sicilian cuisine and a beautiful setting, definitely try Catania. A well-researched menu highlights the volcanic-rich bounty of ingredients found near Catania in the shadow of Mount Etna. Lava rock napkin weights are a reminder as you try very carefully crafted dishes such as the pear piccolini pasta, perfectly charred wood oven fired pizzas, and original beverages, such as the Birra Catania, a custom ale made just for Catania brewed with hints of basil and and lemongrass, or try one of their Sicilian twists on a classic like the Ciao Bella - an Old Fashioned with a seasonal jam kick.

What a fantastic new addition to San Diego's Italian lineup - the food is fresh and authentic, the drinks are original and creative, and the view is incredible. Even something as simple as a margherita pizza was delicious - but try the pear piccolini pasta appetizer and their signature rosemary prosecco cocktail. Each are delicious, but together they're divine!

The pizza is out of this world!! I enjoyed the pizza so much and loved the sauce and that it was thin crust. Must try the Margherita and Diavola pizzas! The Diavola has a spicy Calabrese sausage, FYI if you are not into spicy. BEAUTIFUL views of the La Jolla cove and awesome happy hour!

Everything here has a particular Italian slant to it. I had the pizza and a Italian version if the Moscow mule but made with montenegro instead of Vodka. It was great!

Catania is a new (in 2015) Whisknladle Hospitality restaurant and bar. If you've visited any other WNL properties, you know they only do the best! Catania is located in the heart of La Jolla. They serve delicious coastal-inspired Italian food... Get your pasta, pizza, tiramisu fix or try something with seafood like their Squid Ink Pasta. My favorite is their prosciutto and blackberry pizza. The service is great, prices are standard for La Jolla, and the view is amazing!!
