While this is the furthest ski hill area from Calgary, it also happens to be one of the best in my opinion. The ski runs are long, wide, and there's a lot of a variety whether you're a beginner or expert. The front side is more for beginners and intermediates while the back side is more for experts. There are also multiple lodges to choose from depending on where you are on the mountain.

Great views at all times. In good conditions fabulous tree skiing, Fun for all levels of skier and boarder. Favourite area is off in the trees on skiers left off the Larch chair or the bowls off the back of Paradise. Have fun.

Awesome skiing and snowboarding! the terrain is awesome, the snow is pretty consistent - but the best bit could be the scenery, that's the truly mind blowing bit.

Close to Banff & Canmore (so a bunch of accommodation options nearby), and fantastic skiing in the Rockies. Very cold in Feb though!

With good snow Lake Louise is a fun ski field to explore. Snow hosts do guides of the mountain for free which is a great way to learn the different areas to go based on your level. If there is enough snow make sure you check out the rock garden run.

If you go at the end of November, you can see the World Cup Skiing Championship. The mountain had great conditions but is definitely not for beginners. I went down the mountain 5 times and had to stop because it was too difficult.

The Lake Louise Ski Area is located just outside of its namesake Town Site, and is accessed conveniently from the Trans Canada. I came here during my 1st Honeymoon, skied here for several days, and am still raving about my experience. My only regret is that I haven't been back often enough. This is world class skiing and with stunning views of the Bow Valley to match..

The 139 marked ski runs and back bowls on four mountain faces are 25% beginner, 45% intermediate and 30% advanced. Four full service day lodges are operational during winter. The Lake Louise sightseeing gondola is also open year round, offering panoramas of glaciers, natural springs, wildflowers and possibly wildlife. Other activities in the resort area include heli-skiing, dog sledding, ice skating, and cross-country skiing.
