Why a 4-star rating, might you ask? We all know this isn't a hot hotel, it's a run down, bastion of cheapness for college students and older people, the elevators are in dire need ... Read more
of repair, the weird entrance isn't off the strip, and the parking garage elevators (if you can even find them) smell like piss. However, I had a great, cheap stay here with great service. We needed one day before meeting up with some friends at MGM Signature the next night, and scored a Luv Tub room for $80. Didn't arrive until 2AM, and the hostess upgraded us to a suite without us even asking. Score! Some other guys in line with us were upgraded to a penthouse. I guess the key is to check in late! I've seen friends' photos of IP rooms; small, tacky, outdated, etc. That's what I was expecting. Our suite was not only HUGE, it was very classy and tastefully decorated. It had a wet bar, sitting area, 2 flat screen TVs, a balcony (with not much of a view), the infamous Luv Tub jacuzzi and restroom one step up from the rest of the room. Mirrors on the ceilings above the tub and the bed (What are those for? Can someone tell me? :p) and the tub, although with no jets, filled up very quickly with hot water. Everything was clean and in great shape, which surprised me because of all of the negative reviews I've read. The tub also contains the shower, and is separated by the bed with only a glass wall, so this suite is definitely for couples or singles, not a huge group of your friends. There is a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, and lots of good places like karaoke, Fat Tuesday, Hash House a Go Go, etc. I really enjoyed my stay and would stay again!

Ok so, I stayed here when it was the Imperial Palace. The redo is leaps and bounds above what it once was. Plus it is adjacent to The Linq promenade so there is plenty do. It is worth a stop in to see what is going on! Live It Up You Are In Las Vegas For Cryin' Out Loud!

The linq is in a very covienient and happening spot. Great spot for people watching. Taking a ride on the Linq Ferris wheel is pretty cool, great views of the city. Spend the extra money and go for the half hour open bar as the wheel spins.

One of the cheaper las vegas hotels owned by caesars. It was not bad in terms of design and layout of the hotel. We got two doubles which were more like a two full size beds and a nice big tv. I really like the countertops where you can place all your belongings. And there is a hidden mini fridge in the closet and they have an iron and board and also a hairdryer for you to use. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash is build into it so you have a good supply to wash yourself with. Other than that, the pool outside is small and the rooms surround it in a corner. The place is good for a crash space and not for spending too much time at because reception is bad and so is the internet. Great price to stay and go clubbing at Omnia across the way but other than that, not worth it to stay at this las vegas resort.

We used to come here when it was the Imperial Palace, and this place is a complete re-do. Nice facelift to make it aesthetically pleasing, but its a mid-range place to play and stay.

Even with the remodel The Quad is still ghetto. Not only that, the table dealers don't know their math. Count your chips and winnings. They will jip you (intentional or not).

We just went gambling here, so I can't speak to the state of the rooms. The casino was fantastically new and didn't smell like smoke. Their games have moderate minimums up to high stakes, similar to every other casino on the strip. I played roulette here for a few hours and all of the dealers I had were awesome and very entertaining.

You know what? It's really not that bad for a $20 something a night hotel. The imperial palace is now called the Quad. I don't think it changes much aside from the name. They have dealertainers, who are celebrity impersonators who deal, and then once in a while when it is their turn, they stand up and sing the greatest hit of the celebrity. To be honest, it's a little degrading but what do you expect a cheap ass hotel? They have Fat Tuesday, and they have a karaoke

Great price for low budget traveling and it is right in the middle of the strip! The price is beyond reasonable when you want to travel cheap but not live in some motel.

OK, so it's a bit dingy and it's not one of the newer, flashier, trendier hotels on the Strip... But where else can you stay smack in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip for under $100/night even on weekends? Make reservations directly with the hotel using your Total Rewards login for even more discounts (we've scored Saturday night stays for $42 tax inclusive!).

If table games are your thing, check out the Dealertainers, a kitschy but amusing circle of blackjack and three-card poker tables with celebrity lookalikes as your dealers and low table minimums. Live music (or lipsyncing) performances every hour on the hour. Not too shabby! Plus, I hear they recently renovated and should be looking more spiffy.

well, I must confess, Free is FREE. So no complaints here. However, I beg of you Harrah's casino family - Please update this hotel!

It's very centrally located on the Strip and it was CLEAN and everyone was very nice but man, does it need a facelift. I kid you not - the TV in the room must have been like a 17" tube tv. Come on - even the local Holiday Inn has upgraded to at the very least a bigger tv, or a flat screen. I felt that it could easily turn into the now closed Sahara.

I know what happens here now. I would not go back. Spend the extra money and get somewhere less shady. I may be biased but too many things happen here and its not worth the few dollars saved.

Gave this place 2stars actually but for its location, I'm giving it an extra 1more. Other than its awesome centralised location and Cheap Cheap prices, there really is nothing much I like about the hotel. The manager was stubborn when I told him we paid for the room wifi in cash, insisted that we have not paid for it and wanted us to pay again. <insert table flipping meme>
The girl at the information desk aka concierge was so unhelpful and rude. Asked for directions to the premium outlet and she just handed over a piece of paper with driving instructions. When I said I needed public transport directions she unhappily printed a page out of google maps. -.-
No hotel slippers or hot water flask but hey! We only paid about USD20 per night!

This is probably one of the most affirdable places in the middle of the Strip. It's fine for sleeping and then leaving to go explore all of the other amazing sites to be seen in the area. Ceasar's is right across the street.

Oh com'on, can you really say no to $29 rooms?? I guess you can if you decide to stay at the Excalibur, but the Imperial Palace, as ... it is what it is ... is so mid-strip it's hard to pass up an opportunity to check out what all the college student rage is all about.

My friends used to tell me that they got these crazy bus deals from their college towns to come to Las Vegas and stay at the Imperial Palace and round trip it for only $100 a person. I thought perhaps they were out of their mind, but upon deciding to stay in Vegas for an extra day after the hotel res already ran out, instead of extending it at my pricey 4 star, I figured ... what the heck, it's Vegas!

The rooms are ... $29 rooms. The hotel is ... a $29 star hotel. The location is fantastic, the parking is crowded, and there are just a gazillion college students here. It felt more like spring break in Cancun than it was a $29 room in Las Vegas.

I honestly didn't hate it although I can tell you this is not an experience for everyone. In fact it may not be an experience you want to experience. If you are in a stable relationship, want a romantic adventure, enjoy luxuries and food, this is not for you. But if you're here to party ... say hello to the Imperial Palace.

IP is a great place to stay if you're on a budget. The real benefit is that it's right in the middle of everything ... so even if you don't have a car you can get to the major casinos without having to walk extra far. I've stayed here plenty of times, and they've actually done a good job of renovating the rooms from time to time. It's one of the older hotels on the strip and it shows, but none the less it's great bang for the buck. Also if you're looking for some cheap table games Imperial Palace is also a great place to gamble.

Sure, it's not luxury, its theme is mildly racist, and there's no spa, and the rooms are pretty plain. It does however, have one of the best locations on the Strip.

If you are looking for a bargain and you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room, it serves its purpose. You can walk to the nearby luxury resorts and hang out there.

However, I wouldn't overlook their casino. It's never overcrowded, and I've found the staff and the visitors to be pretty friendly. The highlight was the Deal-ertainers. Every few minutes, a Madonna/Cher/Elton/Elvis/Shakira/Bette will hop up on a table and sing a song in character. Right after that they'll hop down and start dealing a round of Black Jack. If you are into las Vegas kitsch, it doesn't get better than that.
