The rooms are super modern and the location is central to where ever you need to be in LA. Make sure you hit up the restaurant for Happy Hour! One of the best in the city!!

Clean and modern hotel in the middle of West 3rd st. Walking distance to the Beverly Center and 10 minute ride to Rodeo drive. Good value!

Although this hotel is older than many of the bold and beautiful faces strolling through its glass doors, it doesn’t look its age. Family-owned since 1982, the Orlando has been catering to a “seen-and-be-seen scene” long before West Third Street become the “it” spot for chic boutiques. After undergoing a full-scale renovation to keep up with the uber-trendy neighborhood (new walk-up juice and coffee bar), the hotel remains relevant. The modern rooms are tidy and tasteful with stylized tubs, marble floors and glass-walled showers. What the gym and saltwater pool lack in size they make up for in usability. One drawback is that they only offer valet parking for $30, but the staff from the top-down is top-notch. The downstairs gastropub, The Churchill, is a local hangout with craft beers, hand-crafted cocktails and nom-nom California-cuisine that you can enjoy day and night, including 24-hour room service.

The Orlando has the two L's covered - location and luxury. Add a friendly and helpful staff to the mix and you've got yourself a dream hotel! You can walk to a ton of awesome restaurants in the area and the shopping and nightlife in the area is superb. The rooms are clean, modern and classy. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

The Orlando’s main appeal is its central location on Third Street between Crescent Heights and La Cienega. It's within walking distance of dozens of shops and restaurants, but I really love the hotel's own wonderful gastropub The Churchill – it boasts happy hour seven days a week! Another one of my favorite spots, Joan’s on Third, with its coveted imported cheese counter, is just down the street. So leave the car behind and head out on foot to appreciate the neighborhood. I found the hotel tasteful but slightly boring. But I like the commitment to being contemporary, without falling into the current trappings of the ubiquitous 1960s-mod style trend. The rooms are large, with modern features like stylized sinks, glass-walled showers, and Keurig coffee machines. Perhaps two of the cooler features of the hotel is 1) the small saltwater pool, and 2) the complimentary business center with Mac, PC, printer, fax and wifi.

The same family has owned the Orlando since 1984, but they do a great job keeping it fresh. It seems like renovations are a constant here. The new deluxe patio rooms are nice, with private balconies. I also appreciate the free in-room WiFi. The pool is a saltwater soaking pool with jets, but very tiny.

There are a ton of great restaurants nearby, like Joan’s on Third, which is right around the corner. It’s great for lunch, but go early unless you want to wait in long, sometimes confusing, lines. The onsite Churchill restaurant and bar serves three meals a day and handles the 24-hour room service. It has also become a hot spot even for non-guests, especially during the daily happy hour; there are lines out the door Thursdays through Saturdays. Unfortunately, since it’s not owned by the hotel, guests are not given preferred entry.
