According to a person who tried all the burgers in LA, this place is the best.

The father's burger is amazing, maybe the best in LA. The beer is always good, the bartenders and highly knowledgable. Great date spot too, nice intimate lighting and obviously a good meal.

WE FOUND MOLD.

Yes and my coworker even recorded and took a picture of that nasty blue little dot on his Fathers Office Burger he ordered.

If I come here then it's always for lunch with my coworkers. And it's always great and super fun. Especially the huge selection of beer they have. But mold is mold and a Yelper gotta do his reviews. Sorry it's not fair to down rate a business based on one bad experience. But than again it's not fair to give guests a little bit of an extra what they didn't order. Bad surprise I'd say.

I am always on the hunt for great burgers in LA so searching and asking got me to Father's Office. Don't get me wrong, I liked it. But I didn't LOVE it. And I've never been back, so I suppose that says it all. But its very popular and always has tons of people there. Maybe I am missing something?

Father's Office is an awesome dining spot nestled comfortably in a cozy plaza in Culver City. It makes a great late night hangout, and although dark, the atmosphere is always warm and lively. You can even hear the chatter walking from the parking lot, inviting you to stop by.

Despite not being a full service joint, Father's Office still offers great service. The bartenders are easygoing and always willing to give recommendations, and never in a condescending way either.

Father's Office offers a plethora of different beers, and the wall behind the bar is lined with an array of taps. Good thing the bartenders are so apt to give suggestions, or else I wouldn't know where to begin. The best part is, they have a tap for water, and the handle resembles a red fire hydrant. Awesome.

And the food is good as well. The Office Burger is luscious and cooked perfectly. It's filled with tender meat, green arugula, and a sweet caramelized onion chutney. Even when cooked medium well, the patty is super juicy and tender. You can spend a bit more for thinly cut fries, which are deliciously seasoned and come with a buttery, creamy garlic parsley aioli. The only thing is the price, which is high for a burger, but I think it's worth it, at least once in a while, for this treat.

As long as you're at least 21 years old, Father's Office is a great place to kick back after work with some friends. Grab a drink, a burger, and some buddies, and you'll have a wonderful evening.

We ended up getting one of the regular burgers but it was crazy good! But the biggest thing I got addicted to were the fries. They, by far, are the best fries I've had. I ate them and ordered more before I finished my hamburger. My friends ordered some cocktails and they were made really well.

The only thing bad was the service there. The lady bartender there had a very negative attitude and it was difficult to order from her. Some of them seemed annoyed at grabbing drink or water. And when we went it wasn't busy.

Father's Office's claim to have one of the best burgers in America is legit. Their burger is awesome! With an onion marmalade and blue cheese cooked to perfection and paired with one of their many amazing beers on tap you'll be sure to leave a happy camper.

whilst i generally prefer going to the original location in santa monica, this off shoot isn't bad. there's plenty more parking and more seating especially outside seating which is perfect for la. burger and fries are always the go-to along with some seasonal apps.

Really popular gastropub in the helms district. Ordering their signature fathers burger, fries, and a beer can run you around $20 which is pricey but the ambiance of the place makes up for it.

Huge selection of beers from all over the world.

I know, I know. I should have read the yelp reviews first, especially since I'm sure "no substitutions" was in every single review.
Except I didn't. I mean, Father's Office was on Yelp's Best Restaurants in Los Angeles 2010 list. So why bother reading reviews for it? I DID try to look up the menu online though, and I couldn't find it on the website. What's the deal with that? That was a little bit annoying.
Needless to say, I was not able to order the burger like I wanted, because I don't eat pork. Sad day, because it was apparently amazing. I did order the steak au poivre, medium well. Fries on the side were really delicious. I ate all of them with the pepper steak sauce that was on the steak.
Steak was really good, Well-cooked and everything. But it was the sauce that was really the icing on the cake. Yum! I definitely finished my plate.
It was pretty crowded, although we did show up on a Saturday evening, so I wasn't surprised. They didn't have any heat lamps outside though (at least not at our table) so I was really cold. I know that's a dumb complaint, but if you're going to have lots of outside seating, there should be heat lamps in my opinion.
So go early (preferably not on a Friday/Saturday, snag inside seating, and order a burger if you can [although the steak is also good]). I ate here once and it was fine. Now on to other places.
P.S. you have to be 21 to get in here, so keep that in mind young'uns!

I went here because it had one of the highest rated burgers in Los Angeles. The burger was quite good. Rather than having a round hamburger bun, the burger was served in between bread that was more like a baguette or bullet. The beer selection is quite exquisite. If you're ever shopping for furniture in Culver City and want to stop somewhere to eat, Father's Office is the place. I saw some sky writing above when I was there.

Did someone say burgers?

My goto spot for burgers especially if I don't want to drive- it's walkable for me!

Tip: it gets pretty busy with the after-work crowd of Culverians, tables may be tough to find, but people are generally nice enough to let you know if they're leaving soon or not.

My top threes:
The burger: usually served medium rare with gruyere cheese and arugula (if you like gruyere cheese and arugula.... you'll love it)

Duck confit salad: I don't really like duck, but I love this salad.

Bone marrow: do you like fatty, flavorful marrow? Get it.

All I can say is FO makes the best burgers in LA hands down.

Everytime I come here I get the FO burger and the sweet potato fries. Both are always cooked perfectly. Fries are crispy and burger tasty and juicy.
Beer: I like to wash it all down with a cold glass of Framboise.
Yes, looking for a seat/table can be a hassle but it's totally worth it.

Burger - amazing. Great flavors and awesome feelings when thinking of the burger.
Bone marrow? NOT SO MUCH. The boys had a hard time appreciating the marrow. Same for myself. It was cooked pretty blandly without much flavoring to help with its special...scent.

Great beer selection though. Had a great time overall. You do need to walk up to the "cashier" everytime you want to order though. The bartenders usually will get your drink for you, but someone else needs to get the order onto your tab.

Ahh why is this place so packed?! It feels more like a bar than a food place, but damn they serve some awesome food!!

You seat yourself here, so prepare to keep an eye out for people getting up and leaving. Otherwise, you will be standing the whole night.

Now on to the food!
Bone Marrow: It was gooooood. Although it looks simple, but you definitely taste the bone marrow after you put it on the toast. Some other places I've had covered the bone marrow taste, but this one didn't.
Office Burger: Now this is what I came for. It's more of a sandwich than a burger, but it's size was perfect, not too small, not too big. Enough to share with another person if you want. Whatever jam they added into the burger complimented it so well. It gave off that sweet taste, along with the meat burger taste, but at the same time it doesn't feel too heavy. Mmmm.
Soft Shell Crab: This one was really good too. It doesn't look that good in pictures, but the flavoring was great. Light and crispy.

As for drinks, there are many selection of beers on the wall. Bartenders were super nice and friendly, and they will immediately come take your glass away when you're done and ask if you want more.

Now as for parking, it does get a bit tough because it gets so packed. Street parking gets filled up too, so you probably need to wait until someone leaves to take their spot.

The counter is better for burgers in my opinion, but this place has a much more unique, fun atmosphere and better sweet potato fries. Great for a social outing with friends

People come here for the burger. I came for the burger. It was a pretty damn good burger.

I also love the fries, but you probably won't finish yours alone. Either order fries with one of the burger and share, or just bring half of it home. But guys. Burger.

This is one of my must-visit places when I'm in L.A.

Best burger of all time? Maybe. It's definitely up there. I've tried a handful of other items on the menu and it's all been great. The fine selection of beers doesn't hurt, either.

My favorite burger in LA... so far... The Father's Office Burger caramelized onion, applewood bacon, gruyere, maytag blue, arugula so good! How this place works is you order from the bar, they give you a number, then you sit down and they bring you our food. The beer selection is always on rotation so ask your bartender for recommendations.
