despite being on Sunset, and the small parking lot is even harder to see. Hint: it's through the Arby's drive-through entrance, but be careful where you park; some of the spots are reserved for Arby's customers. We ordered the meatballs, sausage, and egg rolls as appetizers, and the portions were large, and the meat was really tasty without being overly fatty or salty. Overall, it's a satisfying spot, but not my favorite Thai restaurant.

Overall, i would recommend based on quality and quantity of the food.

Parking: street parking and private parking lot behind (bonus points)

Service: friendly and helpful with menu recs

Came here with a group after hiking to the Hollywood sign.

We ordered spring roll and egg roll appetizers.
The egg roll was crispy and super hot inside. Enough to share as it had 5 or more cut in half. But good enough to just eat it alone. ;)

I got the original hoy kar soup with thin noodles.
You can select level of spiciness: 1-3 mild, 4-6 med, 7-9 spicy and more spicy. But i stopped at medium.
My friend got #43? Crispy pork with veggies (secret menu item? An egg on top)
She said it was not as good as her previous visit but still a solid 4.

Overall, I would recommend.

With a city full of thai restuarants Hoy Ka lands in the middle of the spectrum for me. Many of my friends loooove this place, I say you might as well go to a place right in thai town which is a stone's throw away. All the food I've had here is good, just not scrumptious. The employees are all super kind and sweet. If you come with a large group I recommend you come 30mins ahead. The parking is a smallish lot behind, that I somehow always get parking when I come, thank gosh! If you are in the neighborhood check it out!

My Go to Thai spot. It’s really good portions and prices can’t be beat. The cripspy pork is amazing here. They have tons of vegetarian dishes too.

Great incredible Thai noodle spot on Hollywood Blvd. Their food is Thai spicy levels so if you can’t eat spicy, definitely opt for mild. I loved their signature hoy ka sooo noodles as well as their pad Thai!

These noodles are addicting. If you think pho is the only addicting soup including rice noodles, you are mistaken. Hoy-ka offers a fantastic selection of flavorful soups a la pho that are simply irresistible and also affordable.

Always good when you can order what you want. Sweet & sour duck is what you're looking at here.

Cheap and good.

Friendly service, parking may be tough but if you're lucky, you might find one in the back of their shop OR on the street.

This is a small and original Hoy-ka Thai noodle House. I would recommend their Boat noodle (mild spicy) and their #18 (mild spicy with thin noodle). Prices are cheap and fulfilling. If you decided to eat medium spicy, prepare to drink lots of water, it's actually creeps up on you but in a good way. Recommend their papaya salad. Good enough to share with two.

Hollywood isn't really known for ethnic food, so when I was researching local restaurants around the area I was skeptical about this spot. Additionally, the tacky Hollywood knock-off type of sign appearance on the outside made me even more concerned about what I had gotten myself into. Thankfully, I didn't allow the external appearance sway me from giving this restaurant a shot.

I ordered the crispy pork with Chinese broccoli and boy was it amazing. Be sure to add a fried egg on top (extra $1.50) as it really completes the experience. I feel that restaurants often overcook their eggs, but they did a perfect sunny-side up egg to which I destroyed and allowed the yoke explode over my rice. The chunks of pork were perfectly fried and the savory sauce really brought all the flavors and textures together harmoniously.

I'd definitely would return as the food is delicious and at a very reasonable price-point. Lesson learned her - never judge a book by its cover!

If you want good Thai food around Hollywood looks no further. This one doesn't look like a Thai restaurant outside but oh boy their food is good! The price is fair consider in Hollywood. I try their hoy Ka noodle which is good but isn't my favorite. The crispy pork rice is the so good l! The pork is perfectly crispy and melt my mouth. Service is excellent.

We came for lunch after stopping by the Hollywood Farmer's Market not too far down the street (Ivar). This place was almost full but didn't feel crowded. The food is more authentic than majority of Thai restaurants I've been to in NorCal, both the noodle soup and pad see ew were good. Oh and order a fresh coconut to go with your meal!

A very western and woody feel for a Thai Restaurant.

The dishes and drinks we ordered were delicious. Especially the Thai Tea really got me. Pretty sweet and refreshing.

I've been to better places for Thai food but this one is not bad. The patient and friendly waiter is a big plus. He goes through the menu and take hit time to recommend you certain things if you don't know what to get.

All in all a good restaurant to have Thai food.

Tasty, not expensive, and filling noodles that are sooo worth it. The Hoy-Ka special is a must go to food. Get it when you're here. DO NOT GET TO THAI ICE COFFEE. Not worth it
