Wtf this place is ridiculous. 80's-themed to the max, with hidden doors, passages, and rooms sprinkled throughout. Every time I bring someone new their faces look like :O the whole time. There seem to always be some sort of performance or show scheduled, even on a random Wednesday night. Definitely get there early on the weekends though, line gets big.

Checked out this spot for a friend's birthday. The door personnel were a bit daunting, and from what I understand there's typically a huge line to get in. We were told to come early to avoid it. It was kind of tough to find parking, but I found a free spot a couple blocks away. You enter through a very speakeasy type of entrance and then the fun begins!

This place is like a retro 80s bar from Back to the Future but even cooler. There are hidden doors and free arcade machines. Have you been missing a full wall of TV's straight out of an MTV video? You've got them here. Do you want over the top, crazy cocktails, you got it. It's a fun place that played some great 80s jams. I'd come back again.

Oh on another note, once we got in we were told they weren't letting in anyone after 10pm, so be wary of that. I rarely find myself in KTown before 10!

Walking into Break Room 86 is like going back to the future. There’s boom boxes, vending machines, arcade games and a telephone booth. The only thing missing is Michael Jackson. Oh, wait, there’s the King of Pop moonwalking across the bar top! Tucked into the backside of the Line Hotel, this Houston Bros hotspot is pure 80’s over-indulgence, from the handcrafted cocktails (Purple Rain, Ecto Cooler) to the private karaoke rooms (it’s K-town remember) that feature fully-integrated iPad-controlled systems with wireless microphones, a retro Atari video game system and a mini-fridge to the nightly performances. I’ll keep the secret entrance on the down-low, but come early and with some girls if you want to get in.

Really fun place to go to. They play a lot of 80s hits when we went but I also know they have guest DJs. There's always a line to get in. The show on the bar is pretty awesome. Great dancers and just a good time.

This is the newest "best bar in LA" hidden lounge right now. I recommend coming here on a weekday around 9pmish if you want to avoid the massive lines on the weekend.

The outside entrance is a loading dock that is on the side of The Line Hotel in Ktown. From here you get escorted by a host down the hallways to the special door which I will stay hush about.

Upon entering you get transported into a fancy 80s lounge decked out with boom boxes, cassette tapes, and VHS menus at the bar. I recommend the drink in my photo, believe it was the echo or echto cooler? The cocktails are pricey here starting at $16.

There are arcade games and also hidden karoake rooms for folks to enjoy.

The bar is fun...if you can get in. The line is the general Hollywood show; they have a "guest list," people who know people, and the people who stand in line. The line ended up being a mess, though, because they eventually let anyone in who harassed them enough, and the staff admitted the line didn't mean anything. Once in, though, the atmosphere is great. The shelves behind the bar move up and down to reveal the stage. We saw break dancers, Michael Jackson impersonator, and a Flashdance girl group. Their specialty cocktails are pricy, which is to be expected, but regular drinks are on par with other bars. We tried the alcoholic push pops, which were really tasty. We also crashed a karaoke party, which was fun. The room was a good size and could hold about 20 people. Wait staff and bartenders were helpful but the outside door staff were not. I'd visit again but probably only if I can get on the guest list or the hype dies down.

I love music, I love the vibe, but coming here on opening day wasn't a good idea. It was packed, I waited in line about 5 minutes, which wasn't too bad. There's a tour guide lady and she'll take you to this secret bar, so no worry about getting lost. Because I was here on the opening day, it was so difficult to order drinks. Probably waited 10-15 minutes for nothing. My drink was $16, my friends also ordered beers. They included gratuity to the bill, and my drink wasn't good. Still, I like this place and I'd go back.

The Hudson brother have done it again! Break room 86 is a speakeasy hidden behind the line hotel in Ktown. You enter the bar through a vending machine. Everything inside the bar is 80s themed - From walls lined in cassette tapes to boom box lined Dj booths. They also have 4 karaoke rooms that you can rent (welcome to Ktown)! The drinks are also all incredible and to theme. However, was a little shocked at how pricey they were. Each cocktail is $16. Out the door, you're paying somewhere around $18-20 a drink, very expensive. However, considering there's no cover, it's totally worth the experience. There's also free arcade games in the back and shows running from Thursday to sat! Make a trip - it's worth it!

Lesson learned, do not go somewhere on opening night.
