Mrs. Fish isn't like its bigger brother upstairs of Perch. Instead, it's super mellow, casual. Perhaps not as cool as the place above but a nice place to lounge about - listening to some live music.

The venue is very cool. As you enter from the street and go down the stairs, you see the aquarium hovering in front of you. Once you're down there, you can look up into it.

There are many areas to sit and talk or drink. We had the place as part of an event, so I'm not sure if the food was theirs or catered elsewhere, but it was tasty! Will have to come back on a normal night to see what it's like usually.

It's one of my favorite places to hang out on DTLA. Super chill, live band and cool people.

Something different than the standard bar you go to. It's nice to be welcomed by a fish tank at the ceiling with some fish and unfortunately all plastic corals.

This bar targets more the the groups with class, a little fashionable and classy but not too much. Ratchets stay outside. This is not the place to throw up or to twerk. In fact they have live bands performing here. Listening to Ginuwine's Pony or Justin Timberlake's Senorita in a Jazz version is pretty incredible. You can either mingle at the bar or enjoy the music on the couch.

The band of course leaves after a couple of hours to let you turn up and the music switches to the mainstream thing.

The drinks were great, people were fun, staff were friendly.

What a great concept!Perch is on the rooftop and Mrs Fish is in the basement. The place is owned by the same people at Perch.

Fishtank: A bit disappointed because the soft opening email made us believe that there will be sharks in the water tank :/

Dress code: lounge attire

Floors: Three levels and you can see the stage where musicians perform from all levels. The top floor gets pretty crowded and there are plenty of places to sit on the lowest floor.

Cocktails:
If you love sweet cocktails then get Poolside! It's very PinaColada - like with an adorable mermaid cocktail accessory. Their El fuego old fashion won't disappoint either. Downfall is they're $14

The bar tender all but ruined my night. It was my 30th bday I wasnt sure how I wanted to start my night. He got super pushy and rude about me ordering. Then the drinks sucked and he charged me twenty bucks for a rum and coke. The music and criwd was dead by 11:30.

Lisa Is amazing!
I believe she is the manager or event coordinator for Mrs. Fish. Not only was Lisa amazing but the hostess was sweet the servers were amazingly helpful and overall happy bar. Very down to earth team for a swanky hit new bar!
As you go downstairs you will see a beautiful aquirum right above you ..hence Mrs. Fish.
The bar is actually not as big as it looks in pictures but the live band and the overall feel of the spot def brings a lot of character and energy!

I came here mid week to see a friends band play. The atmosphere is a mixture of bar, club, lounge and speakeasy. Walk down a flight of stairs that opens up into a room filled with fish tanks, sofas and bars. A great Thursday night, especially with good company.

Entering this bar/lounge is like descending into an undersea hideaway. Split leveled with plenty of nooks, sofas, and armchairs this place hums with a cool vibe.

Come by during happy hour 5-7

Parking: find a parking lot nearby for $5 after 4pm or street parking if you're really lucky

The set up of Mrs. Fish is awesome! It's multi-level with full bars on each floor. There's plenty of seating which reminds me of The Edison. There's a stage for live bands and a DJ booth as well. I love the fish tanks! All baby fish for now.

Beautiful bar in the basement of the same building as perch in dtla. They have a beautiful fish tank that scales across the ceiling of the interior. They also have live music almost every evening. The space is quite large and is one of the hip new spots in dtla. The beef carpaccio was my favorite dish off the food menu. I also enjoyed their cocktails and wine selections!

Mrs Fish is a rock and roll bar in the heart of Dtla. Wednesday thru Friday there is HH from 5-8 pm. Friday and Saturday nights it gets busy so get there early to avoid the line... But definitely a hot spot in Dtla

This is a really cool lounge to hit up on Friday and Saturday nights. There's an aquarium that makes you feel that you're underwater! The drink prices are a little high, but there's food and live entertainment!

The concept is cool - how could anyone not dig walking around an aquarium - but the vibe feels slightly seventies coke den (not that I'm complaining). Black and white tiles canvass the bottom floor, encroaching on what looks like a VIP lounge area with shiny vinyl red couches (these I actually like...they remind me of those craft bottles of shiny red glitter paint that you squeeze onto a summer camp t-shirt), which descends into a basement bar that feels slightly art-decoish. It's like a tiki bar meets the Edison meets the House of Blues (we were there on a night with a live band set). Somewhat disconcerting aesthetics - no??

BUT - I LOVE the mermaids that come with the cocktails. Hey, you might have dragged it out of me, but a second date resides somewhere in our future.

I came to their soft opening on the first night it opened and I was impressed by the menu and decor. Not giving too much away, they named this place Mrs. Fish for a reason. There's an area where a band could perform but I was only able to see that in action the second time I came back for a visit. The music was great and the crowd Mrs. Fish attracted were young and trendy. But I have to say their appetizers could be improved ... we ordered the thai satay and it was just blehhh. The drinks though were always on point, I really enjoyed it and it always help when you have great company.

I didn't purchase drinks here, but I did drop by after a night out at Perch upstairs. From what I've heard, this place is owned by the same owners of Perch. They're located conveniently downstairs from Perch. What's really cool about this place is the aquarium in the middle, right when you enter. There are not that many cool fishes to look at, so I hope they had that in the future. But the fact that they have a fish tank there is pretty freaken awesome.

They also have live music playing in the center. So you really get a nice vibe here. I would recommend bringing a date here as well. You can have a nice night out here. I will definitely come back to try their drinks and food.
