As a Bruin Alum, I've spent many undergraduate days walking past Pauley Pavilion. I also used to work the concessions for ASUCLA during basketball games. My graduation ceremony, from the Psychology department, was here. My grandma actually got to attend and see one of her eldest grandchildren graduate from a 4 year university. So yeah, Pauley Pavilion brings back memories.

My most recent visit, post-renovations from that 20-million gallon water main leak that flooded the arena in 2014, I was impressed. The new screens and LCD ads are bright! The seats are comfortable. The memorabilia displays are amazing. I loved being there. We attended the UCLA-Arizona St. game where the Bruins were victorious. The entire arena erupted in an 8-clap when the final buzzer sounded. There is something to be said about watching a game live with some of the biggest UCLA fans on the planet.

During the break at the half, I went to buy some iced coffee. I ordered a caramel iced latte and was impressed that they used real espresso and not some mix. But again, I should know this since I used to work at the coffeehouse on campus. Back then, the only drinks we sold at concessions were soda, black coffee, premixed iced drinks and water at concessions, but now they have the fancy machines. I'm really happy that the renovations happened quickly and were beautifully done.

You must distinguish between reading reviews written by UCLA alums and those written by unbiased basketball fans that have come here. I am the latter. This arena is difficult to get to if you don't live on campus and is generally antiquated. It gets a three for the history, tradition and quality of programming.

This building was just recently remodeled and it is beautiful. When you just walk into the building, everything feels so clean and up to date that it just makes ucla bruins like myself feel super proud in being a bruin. I am not that big of a sports fan but I would love to come here to watch a game anytime.

Full disclosure - I'm an alum.

Since the renovations were completed I've been dying to get a chance to go to the new Pauley to see what they have done. I got a chance when I got some free tickets for a basketball game for renewing my football season tickets.

I am happy to see the new screen thingy in the middle of the court. They needed an update in the worst way.

I love the new concourse. Between the historical items and the new signs, it just looks like any other arena out there. They also had a section near Spaulding field where the food trucks parked, so you had some other food options other than the typical arena food fare. Prices aren't cheap. They never were even when I was a student, so I'm not surprised. Just think movie theater concessions stand prices.

The bathrooms are brightly lit and clean. I always felt before that it just seemed so dark and dingy. The seats were definitely updated. I sat on the upper level, so I don't know how the seats were on the floor. I know there was a lot of controversy with the ways the seats were going on down there, but it looks like it did before.

The Bruins had a very exciting game against the ASU Sundevils (the second to last home game) and apparently Pau Gasol was on the floor watching the game.

It's not as big as the Honda Center - which I've seen UCLA games at before for the John Wooden classic, but I did feel that I was in that type of arena. I'm sure it's not a fancy pants as the Galen Center across town, but seeing that this was an existing building, great job.

As Bruin alumni, my bf and I recently dropped by to watch a basketball game at the newly renovated Pauley Pavilion. It had been years since I last visited campus and the spankin' new Pauley was just a beautiful addition to our campus. It took a little getting used to in finding the will call window but we worked our way around and enjoyed the new Wooden statue on our trek there. After picking up our tickets we had some time to spend enjoying the display cases inside Pauley. We loved the display of Wooden's pyramid of success and other Wooden memorabilia surrounding the indoor arena.

*Tip* they don't allow you re-entry but if you tell the workers at the door that you are going out for a cigarette break they will give you a re-entry pass. Also, if you are have a handicap placard and parking in the structures be sure to show them your placard for a discounted rate of $4 for parking!
