You always dreamed as a kid about being an astronaut and learning about space, well here is your chance to see the impossible and experience up close the space ship that went to space and made it back and is here in our California backyard. Seeing is believing and to understand that something man made can be made and sent to space is unbelievable.

Visited this while at the California Science Center to see the Science Behind Pixar Exhibit. It's very cool and has a lot of information. If you've been to see the Space Shuttle Enterprise at the Intrepid in NYC, it's not too dissimilar.

Very awe inspiring exhibit with no just the shuttle but photographs, a hab, etc. Visit before they re-house it.

Love checking out the space shuttle Endeavour. You have to buy a ticket for a cheap fee to be able to get in!

An awesome sight to be up close to what has been to space. Along with the exhibit it tells the incredible story of this wonderful craft.

Located inside the California Science Center. CSC is free, but if you want to see the shuttle, it's $2 per person. Well worth it in my book.

They have an exhibit on the second floor. You'll see a mock up of the NASA Control Center, shuttle tires and even a space toilet. Lol. A lot of interesting history of the shuttle.

On the ground floor, you'll see the hanger where the Endeavour is displayed. It's really impressing to be standing in the presence of a real space craft. It's amazing.

On the back side of the shuttle near the gift shop, you'll see a model of what the exhibit is going to be in the future. They will stand the shuttle up in launch mode. I can't wait.

FYI: look for the gallery of pictures when they were moving the Endeavour to its current location. Very interesting. They had to bring street signs down and power lines. The best thing is watching the pictures of all the people coming out to watch the shuttle pass by.

If you're in L A, go visit one of the few shuttles on display around the country. It's an amazing sight.

I once had a dream as a child to be an Astronaut. I went to Space Camp. I have sat in the space shuttle launch control room at Cape Canaveral. I own copies of unpublished private photos from space. I have touched an Atlas Rocket. I LOVE SPACE! I still wish to go into space someday. I just doubt that I will ever be so lucky.

So at least I can touch and see something that has been there multiple times. I was extremely proud of what we used to do as a spacefaring nation.

To visit something as awe-inspiring as a space shuttle is a special thing. The history, knowledge, and adventurousness that are associated with this are incredible.

It reawakened a bit of my childhood and my love for space that had been missing for a few years to say the least. None the less, I turned into a kid again and remembered a lot about the craft in front of me. I had built models of it as a kid. But 1/64th scale with 1/2" high astronauts 30 years ago just doesn't prepare you for the real thing when you are next to it.

Absolutely stunning to say the least. I loved it. I just wish I could take off in it. The displays that teach you numerous things about this spacecraft are daunting but wonderful.

I just want a ride in it. Let's Go!
