The Mars Volta, Beck, and Thom Yorke. The Echoplex is suitable for all types of people; the only thing that matters is that you have a love for true artistry in music. The Echoplex is good for you if you enjoy less mainstream or more underground performances. You walk in, notice the fans on the ceiling and the nice bartenders, and you realize that despite the relatively small size of the venue, it is very vibrant and alive.

Been going to this place for over the past decade now and everytime it's a new, fresh experience! Bartenders are always kind and quick and the music is a reflection of the local, new wave. I highly recommend attending during FUNK FEST and catching any new band you're currently digging before they blow up as this venue is very intimate!

I mean THIS IS THE ECHOPLEX. Its also a great place to go see shows, check out local bands, and maybe discover new music every now and then. They hold solid shows as well, I've seen a few shows here by bands that would go on to play much larger sold out venues. This is the place you want to go to experience what LA's eccentric, eclectic nightlife is like.

The crowd here is diverse, fun and absolutely crazy. You're guaranteed to have a great time here. I mean, cmon ITS THE FUCKING ECHOPLEX.

This is a popular smaller sized music venue that hosts more intimate shows but with still hundreds in the crown.

They always feature some of the best up and coming musicians and groups week in and week out.

Fun dancing on the outside patio/stage. The outside area is on a slant so girls in heels will probably fall.

Bootie LA at the Echoplex is the absolute most diverse and fun monthly party in LA!

On a crowded night (that's most weekend nights here), it can get a little hot and muggy in here and it's easy to sweat up a storm. Still, what a great place to dance. I've been to three Bootie LA's here and the acts onstage are always so entertaining! They have R.A.I.D. (Random Acts of Irreverent Dance) perform during the Bootie LA events.

Really fun place to take your friends out to on a Saturday night. :)

Great small venue for a few cheap drink and good fun! usually no cover and some good unknown bands. They have a free weekly called Funky Soul that has never disappointed me!

so i been to this venue twice now. most of the time, the bands and events that go on here are kind of indie, or underground. i wouldn't call this one of those Hollywood night life type of clubs. and that's a good thing. but because the bands that play here are no namers, it really is a hit or a miss. the venue itself is great, but ticket purchasing is very annoying. if you buy advance tickets online, it is often more expensive then it would cost you at the door. and the line to get in for at the door vs advance tickets is the same. this place almost never sells out, so it is pretty pointless to pay more ahead of time. unless the actually do book a big name person, i highly recommend you to just buy your ticket at the door.

Small and intimate is how I like my live music. I've seen some of the best reggae here as well as performances by my favorite artists such as St. Vincent. Great place to let loose and dance!

Always has great bands, and chances to catch smaller acts before they blow up.
