cool, like a nice secret. It's a good spot to take a date and grab a drink. I like the lights on the wall. You won't find wannabe LA people here so that's always a plus!

My favorite chill bar. It has a great 70's feel to it. A dj comes twice or 3 times a week.. chill ass music.. from classic rock too golden boy. Love this bar!! A Los Angeles landmark!

Hole in the wall Bar. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's nicer on the inside. Super loud music so it's hard to talk. Feels more like a bar than a lounge. They do have some good drinks.

I got the Woods, which was whiskey and some mint leaves. Good but watered down, so I don't feel like it justifies for the price they charge.

They have seats/couches around, so you can sit there if a space opens up. It's not really a place I would normally come to with big groups.

Dark, dingy, dive bar.

I say I don't drink, but I may have a little tipple a couple times a year. I was enticed to come here with a friend offering to buy me a drink. Not willing to pass up a good thing, we hoofed it over here from Madame Tussaud's.

Inside, a non-descript lounge is what greeted me. Very dark, I managed to read the menu & notice their drink specials. It's been so long that I forgot what drink I had, but it came out right away.

I found it funny & a stroke to my ego when the bartender asked for my ID. It's all that clean living, I tells ya ;p

We didn't stay too long, as we were just killing time before an event. I'm not a barfly, however I think The Woods does the trick for those looking for a drink

Great traditional Neapolitan style pizza. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was our first time there, and we will definitely be black

Local neighborhood bar when I lived in that border on WeHo and Ho. Has a distinctive Portland feel to it, especially with the antler chandeliers and shellacked stump tables - has the distinct aftershave of Doug Fir on SE Burnside. Very cozy and dimly lit, can get super-crowded on weekends, but is very quiet on weekdays. At those times it's couples having quiet conversations along the wall booths - ick. Happy hour pursuers can find a nice transition as they have it from 8pm-10pm, $5 cocktails and even cheaper Schlitz. Bartenders have always been cool and Hans is their moody but super-awesome bouncer. Protip - Sunday is a good night for hitting on any of the actresses that come down from the Berubians upstairs after their run of shows.

Great happy hour spot with $3 beers, $5 well drinks, and a $4 shot of the day. Loved the atmosphere of feeling like you were actually in the woods. The ceiling even had little lights in it to make it look like stars. Nice spot in hollywood that gives you a lot of bang for your buck. It is a fairly small spot though so I wouldn't recommend for large parties.

This place is dark, cozy, and intimate. The drinks are cheap and it has a lot of character. I was here doing happy hour with a bunch of coworkers and had a pretty good time.

Only wish was that they had a better happy hour menu. They do let you order from the med place next door though.
