halibut and rockfish. Fishers may also enjoy a leisurely day fishing off the Malibu Pier itself. But this spot is not just enjoyable for fishermen, it is great for surfers as well. Surfers from around the world come to Surfrider Beach, located next to Malibu Pier, which is known to offer rides of 300 yards or more from its three-point break.

My husband and I enjoyed our time on the pier. We were able to get some great photos and views of the water. We ate at the restaurant located towards the end of the pier. The restaurant served organic food and drinks. I ordered the quesadilla and honestly it was by far the best that I had ever had. As for the drink, I should have stuck with water because the specialty drinks they have taste totally different from what you will imagine that it tastes like. Nevertheless, there is no cost to walk on the pier however, you have to pay to park. We had to pay $10 to park. It is time based. You will pay for parking right before you exit the parking
Lot to the parking lot attendant. Overall, it's something to do once just to mark it off the list.

My friend and I visited this beautiful pier after finishing our afternoon hike at Solstice Canyon. I especially love the tower entrance as it reminded me of European architecture. Walking down the pier, you see TONS of people fishing. Random story: one of the fishermen caught some kind of stingray and as he placed it on the pier floor he started cutting it with scissors?! I literally saw him take the scissors into the eye lid of the stingray and proceeded to cut it...not sure if this was some kind of procedure or whatever but then he threw it back in the ocean. Anyways besides that strange incident, the pier is pretty clean for the most part and it has a restaurant in the beginning and a cafe at the end. A good amount of people playing on the beach sand on both sides too.

Adjacent to legendary Surfrider Beach, arguably the best break in southern California, you can stroll the pier, watch the surfers, dine at any of the tasty pier restaurants and take a sunset walk along "billionaire's beach." Who knows who you might run into...

It's true that no two piers are alike! Malibu Pier has a calm, cooling effect families with kids as well as upscale singles love it and the restaurant weekend brunch is a highlight for locals.

My favorite place for a Cali sunset so far, right up there with Griffith Observatory only you've got ocean here. Just stroll right up and the sea, ah, the sea it's all yours. Oh, and Malibu Farm Pier Cafe for a bite as the suns slips below the horizon. Sigh.

Great to look at and relaxing to walk on. The pier offers panoramic views of the coastline from Malibu to Palos Verdes. Malibu Farm at the end of the pier is a fine place to get farm fresh foods and drinks.

The Restaurants one on each end, Malibu Farms are worth visiting. The first one more high end food and prices. The other one at the end of the pier is more casual. Great food.

Was going to go to Venice beach but ended up driving up to Malibu instead and stopped here to enjoy the last few rays of California sunshine. Not busy at all and wonderful soft sand with clear waters.

Such an iconic place. I came down to Malibu to surf but unfortunately you can't take dogs to the beach so I had to just admire the other surfers catching waves. Parking is really hard around here, so make sure you either come early or get lucky finding parking right in front of the surf spot.

Malibu is lovely, and this is a great place to take some photos and enjoy the view. Easily accessed off of PCH. There are lots of nearby food options as well.

great tidepools are located just below this area and some fun food options are located on the pier itself. A nice walk along the beach from the Colony Beachhouse will get you to this location!

It's a nice stroll at sunset, but it's really not too different from any other pier - except the Malibu's beaches are clean, and this pier is often quiet. Head on down the PCH for the action and excitement on Santa Monica Pier, but if you're looking for a quiet, romantic stroll, this is a good substitute.

I love this Pier: I mean I love Malibù and the Pier is a very relaxing place where to take a walk, resting on a banch, reading a book or simply sitting there with something to drink looking at the sea, in total relax.
