Iconic Cornish islet, just off the coast at Marazion - looking across to St Michael's Mount is said by some to be the best view in Cornwall. Time your visit right and you can walk over the causeway to this

This is a National Trust property so if you have a National Trust card it is free to get in. During high tide to get to St Michael's Mount you will need to get a boat there - you will need to pay for this. If the tide is out then you can walk to it. This is a beautiful place with stunning views.

A beautiful place to visit. In high tide you can catch a boat across to the island and then when the tide is low you can walk back. It really is a beautiful spot where many plants grow that you cannot find anywhere else in Britain.

Really recommend a visit to the St Michael's Mount - it's a magical tidal island in Marazion with a medieval church and castle steeped in history. You can access the island by boat or by walking, depending on whether the tide is in or not. Lovely day out with an excellent cafe for lunch as well.

If you're planning a family trip down Cornwall you can't miss St Micheal's Mount. You will find this beauty on the bottom of England, in front of the shores of the little village of Marazion near Penzance end not far from St. Ives.
The Mount is reachable by boat or by foot, in depends on the tide. You can walk around without pay, the only thing you pay is the entrance of the castle that I suggest you to visit. Inside you will discover an amazing history museum with a collections ( I know it sound weird) of samurais armors and katanas and bows.
The lookout from the roof it's just amazing, it's a 360 degree view of the ocean and the seaside.
For families, backpackers and adventure traveller.

A fantastic little excursion. You can walk across a causeway at low tide or there is a ferry during high tide. The seafront, further along, has been developed recently and offers many facilities.

Our two contemporary studios have uninterrupted panoramic sea views overlooking this magical, mystical castle perched in the sea, walk accross the causeway as the tide recedes.

Great day out, if the tide is out you will be able to walk along the causeway to the Mount. If the tide is in then if you aren't up for the swim, then a boat taxi can be caught.

Walk across the causeway, tide permitting and ascend the cobbled pathway to the castle. Wonderful views from here.

I've always known there is one in France but never expected one in England! And in the same name and the same format! It's beautiful. we watched it from ashore, and then walked over across the causeway. It's a weird experience to walk along low tide! The mount is beautiful and the surrounding environment makes it even more spectacular. A must visit.

Rocky island with a medieval church and castle. Lovely views from both the mainland and there island itself. Go at low tide and you will be able to walk to and from the island. Make a good day trip!

A must place to visit. "Incredible location and fantastic views from the battlements."
"To describe them as something out of a fairy tale wouldn't be an understatement."
"Opt for the amphibious transport if you time the tide wrong."

The castle-like house on top of St Michael’s Mount has amazing views out to the Atlantic as well as back over the Cornish mainland. My favourite part of the island is the causeway: we went out by boat, over clear sea that looked turquoise, and returned on foot. The tiered gardens around the house are beautiful and full of exotic-looking species.

A fairytale castle, incredible cliff side gardens, fantastic views. All this to explore and more. Marazion marshes nearby is a nature reserve with Bitterns and water fowl.

Saint Michael’s Mount is a tidal island near the village of Marazion and linked by a causeway at low tide. The buildings on the island were once believed to be a Benedictine abbey and priory like Mont St. Michel in France (also Benedictine). Later, the castle portion was a fortress and residence. It is now mostly owned and managed by the National Trust. Admission of £10 allows you into the castle where you can explore the armour and antique furniture as well as enjoy views across Mounts Bay.

The tide was in when we arrived in the morning, so we took a boat to St. Michael's Mount. It's a great historical place to visit. There is a lot of history and a lot to learn at the mount. By the time we left, the tide was out and we walked back to the mainland. Great for families.

Spectacular views. Climbing the mount itself is hard work but rewarding. The entrance to the top is crowded and small, but opens up as you go through the first couple of rooms.

I haven't been across to this, so can't comment on what there is to see there. However from the main land there are some spectacular views.
