Killer Shrimp is known for their seafood and view of the bay. My friend and I had a large sampling of a variety of items including the coconut shrimp entree, shrimp and lobster enchilada, and a signature killer shrimp bowl. All were familiar unmemorable, but the view was gorgeous.

Killer Shrimp is my absolute favorite restaurant of all time. Whenever I am in LA I come at least once and it still is amazing every time. The taste and freshness is fantastic. Not to mention a great harbor view. Must visit.

Delicious seafood with a beautiful view of the marina! This restaurant is the only dock and dine restaurant, where people can dock via the marina and hop in for a meal!

Their signature dishes include all the killer shrimp dishes, and I tried the killer shrimp, crab and lobster dish. It was so tasty! The secret killer sauce was flavorful and spicy, and it totally hit the spot. It also comes with bread to dip into the sauce/broth.

The seafood pasta marinara and crab claws are also delicious. And the lobster mac & cheese is to die for!

The bread pudding and sweet potato pecan pie are also super delicious!

If you're in the area, check Killer Shrimp out for some delicious seafood. They also have a great happy hour, which includes $1 oysters on Fridays!

This place is sooooooo evil. The portions are ridiculous ginormous here. The building looks big and the booths are just that much bigger. Each booth is able to seat up to eight skinny runts but realistically six persons comfortably. We took the booth all the way in the back just before the outdoor patio. Where there are heat lamps if you're cold and doggie bowls if you bring your best friend for lunch. There is a long counter for that cafe seating you would have at a diner. There's a small bar in the back right by our booth. I wonder if the bar is open 24 hours just like the cafe serving food.

One good thing is this menu also includes anything you could order at Killer Shrimp, next door. Just don't have to go through waiting until your grandchildren go to college before they find a table. Original Killer Shrimp bowl peeled or shell on is your choice. I ordered the prime rib and I get mashed potatoes and some greens. Just like Pro Trip members, we all share our orders. So there were two Killer Shrimp bowls with peeled shrimps, a halibut fish plate, a filet and eggs is their take on steak and eggs but definitely needs more seasoning, and I think we ordered just about every single appetizer on the menu. I really like the mozzarella and tomato which is probably called caprese salad. You have to see these Killer Fries and mac and cheese balls. I could just come here for the appetizers and polish off the Bloody Mary I ordered and be content for the drive home.

When each of us ordered dessert, it was like a sampling but the full order of each. The chocolate cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream reminds me of what is called the pazookie but much better. There is a chocolate brownie version of it too. For the main chocolate lover, the chocolate chocolate chocolate cake with a scoop of whipped cream on the side doesn't need a glass of cold milk to accompany it but you still want to have a glass just because that's what you do. There is a mason jar version of s'mores where you have to dig down deep to the bottom to get to all levels of this dessert experience. I cannot tell if this one apple one is a cobbler or pie but it has that slight apple tartness to it. Pecan pie was a little small of a slice but very good and crunchy crust is what I like. I would prefer a scoop of ice cream with this one instead of a scoop of whipped cream. That is what I'll request next time I am here. I am not a fan cheesecake in general but Murphy, in our group didn't mind devouring it all by herself. That's about all I have to say about that.

Killer Café has an extensive killer menu. They serve breakfast items all day as well as unique entrees. I was able to family-style different items. My top favorites included the mac n cheese croquets. Although I finished one in 2 bites, each bite included a nice richness and flavor. I also recommend the Killer Shrimp, shelled, which means the shells have already been removed. The sauce that the shrimp comes in is magical, I was almost drinking it like soup. It comes with French bread that makes for great dipping. The sauce probably included lots of unique spices, I just can't quite pinpoint what it entails. My other favorite was the Killer Shrimp Pot Pie, which was slightly spicy. The top part of the pie had just the right amount of fluffiness, crispiness, and flakiness. An abundance of shrimp in every bite. The pie's inside sauce was similar to that of the Killer Shrimp, shelled. Every bite was awesome.

Restrooms were clean, free parking (rare in this part of MDR!), great view of the marina, fair prices, and fantastic service. Did I mention that Killer Café is open 24 hours?! I'll be back soon to get more Killer Shrimp!

A 24/7 cafe on the water with some really tasty dishes, what more can I say?

If you come here and only get one thing, get the Killer Shrimp (shelled). The sauce was so memorable, I'm already planning a return visit just for it. Other highlights of our dinner included the prime rib, spinach salad and Killer Tots. I wasn't too into the Mac n' Cheese croquettes, but everyone else at my table loved them.

Overall a great experience, great food, and a great view!

Killer Cafe is right by Killer Shrimp-- and both are killer!

The killer shrimp dish-- a flavorful broth with shrimp that comes with either noodles or rice, along with a generous basked of bread, is absolutely delicious. Their desserts, half of which come topped with dense vanilla bean ice cream, are made exactly the way they should be made. The brownie sundae has generous portions of chocolate, the pizzookie is warm and gooey and topped with ice cream then topped with chocolate sauce, and the cheesecake has a thick graham cracker crust with just the right amount of crunch.

To top it all off, the service is great!

A waterside cafe open 24/7 that serves an extensive breakfast, lunch, dinner, has it's own parking lot, AND overlooks the Marina Del Rey Harbor?! Need I really say more and for all this alone it receives 5 stars. It's difficult finding places to eat after midnight during the weekdays in West LA believe it or not so this place is a gem for that.

I came with a group of about 10 people and we started off with their fried appetizers like the lobster mac and cheese, fried pickles, tater tots, tomato w/ mozzarella caprese style - all very satisfying especially the lobster mac & cheese balls! My favorite food of the night was their signature Killer shrimp bowl dish. The bowl comes with the option of having the pasta on a side plate or inside, I got it on the side. I was really happy with the generous portions of shrimp in the bowl and the broth it was in - really nice blend. I also tried the grilled mahi mahi dish and it the fish was a bit burnt but was still good enough to eat.

Dessert wise, this place is AMAZING too. We tried all kinds of their sweet treats such as the pazookie ice cream, ice bream brownies, apple pie w/ ice cream, and their cakes. Seriously went into a food coma afterwards. I would solely come here to grab some dessert with friends and sit on the outside patio that overlooks the water. Oh and how could I forget, they have a full bar serving cocktails, beer, and wine also!!

Killer view, killer locations, and killer food.

After one bite I redeemed my ticket to comfort food land. I was smitten by the prime rib sammich.

I will definitely set a play date for my belly and Killer Cafe again in the near future, mainly because I need to order the killer shrimp myself (I got a taste of that spicy broth and I want more).

Great service, Great Vibes, but they had the Cavs game on and they were losing, so that was kind of upsetting.

Rock on Killer Cafe. See you again soon.

Open all day 24hrs, and brought to you by the popular killer shrimp, this place brings you loads of happiness and delicious delicacies like killer shrimp with hidden flavors, they must have alot of spices and butter in it because you can taste the juices.

Most of us ordered the prime rib and steaks and sandwiches versus the normal breakfast food for what it was known for. They have dishes like eggs benedict and are great at it. The appetizers we got are fried pickles, tator tots, mozzarella cheese, lobster Mac and cheese balls, and fresh mozzarella.

The fried dishes are normal because you can't go wrong it taste when things are fried.

Going on to the main course, I chose to get the filet steak with over easy eggs and fresh fruit. It was a little bland. Other dish we ordered was the killer shrimp original peeled shrimp which has a kick and just loaded in butter soup. It was good and they had a lot of shrimp in it.

After this, you better have to get a togo box because you just fell out if your chair for eating so much.

Desserts we got to try almost what they are known for. From chocolate chocolate cake to browniez and everything had icecream in it and smores and desserts just makes you fall into a food coma.

Drinks are also a plenty for those that have hangovers and need that bloody Mary, or that extra alcohol cuz they have several beers on tap.

This location has the most amazing view! Get a seat on the patio to dine while the sun sets. The staff was attentive and Kayla was amazing! I loved the kick of the Killer Shrimp and probably ate more bread than I should have. Paired with some of The Dudes Brews, it was a killer combo. You also must must must have that pecan pie. They're available in whole pies for purchase for the holidays.. or just for a Tuesday. Can't wait to come back!

Excellent views of the marina and perfect for large groups. Large menu with something for everyone. Tried the chicken tacos. Preferred the delicious popcorn shrimp in the Baja tacos. And the namesake specialty dish Killer Shrimp comes peeled in a bowl of broth with their secret seasoning ready to add a little spice to your day! The hangar steak comes with a bone marrow griddle cake, who doesn't love bone marrow?! Don't forget about dessert, Their version of s'mores in a mason jar is decadent and better for sharing since the chocolate mousse is rich. The sweet potato pecan pie was my favorite, not too sweet with a great ratio of pecans.

Really beautifully located seafood restaurant right on the water with a gorgeous view of the marina. The space is huge with plentiful parking (yes that's right parking in la)! The service was excellent and some of my favorite dishes were the signature shrimp in the spicy shrimp broth, the grilled hanger steak and the pecan pie! To compliment the meal, The Dude local beers added a fanatic touch to each course of my meal. I will be back.

If you love seafood this is a great place to go! When they say the killer shrimp entrees are spicy, they mean it! Also, I'm really picky about my clam chowder and theirs was great! The atmosphere is great too. I went on Thursday at around 6 and the bar was hoppin! And I guess the view isn't so bad ;)

This place takes seafood to the next level. It mixes it up and then BOOM surprise. You want Mac and cheese, well let's just add some lobster or shrimp to that. And it becomes a whole new party for your taste buds.

On the top of the menu the have about 5 choices of what they call KILLER SHRIMP specials. I had to give this a try after seeing it served to the table next to me. I opted for the shelled version of the KILLER SHRIMP. It's served in a large bowl with at least a dozen shrimp. It also is accompanied with a huge bowl of bread. Use this bread to soak up the deliciously spicy broth that your shrimp are swimming in. But beware to much bread and broth and you may not be able to eat all your shrimp.

The steamed mussel were also very tasty. This dish too has a wonderful broth that you dip garlic bread into, the flavors work so well together that just regular bread would not do the broth justice.

Next time come for a visit. Dress is casual. But if you want to go on the weekend call ahead for a reservation.

The photo is from the large fish tank they have in the waiting area

WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BREAK MY HEART?!?! WHAT DID I DO?!?!

Dear Killer Shrimp,

It was love at first bite, KS, your founder named you well. I remember when your creole flavors first touched my lips, it was January of 1992, we were introduced at a mutual friend's birthday party. From then on, my bff and I always included you in our celebrations, I raved about you for many many years to all my friends and shared your flavors and hospitality with them. Everyone fell victim to all things killer.

You stole my heart, you set the bar so high, no one could even come close to satisfying my hunger. Even when I found out I was allergic to one of your ingredients, I learned to compensate just so I could enjoy the pleasure you have always given me.

I just wanted to strip you naked and swirl your body in the succulent juices you came in and suck you into my mouth all the while sharing your yummy juices with a collendar of a perfectly baked French baguette. And you really finished me off with your sweet potato pecan pie with the homemade whipped cream. I screamed for more, but knew I couldn't take any more pleasure and I would have to wait until I could stand up straight again.

I traveled long distances in the rain for you, even in LA traffic. They say that long distance relationships never last. They were right, one by one you closed your doors on me, Redondo Beach, gone, Marina Del Rey, gone, Studio City gone. My heart was broken into pieces. I never imagined I could ever find the sort of love I had for you. I was completely lost. Then you resurfaced a couple years ago in Marina Del Rey. I was so ecstatic, my Best Friend and I returned to revel in your yummness.

We were in awwwww!!! Your new place was so welcoming, right on the marina with outdoor seating, the interior, amazingly beautiful the wood floors the good sized tables and booths, the bar, the bar was huge and well stocked. I was ready, willing and able to pick up where we left off. I was wowed by what was once a simple three item entree menu had quite a bit of work done to it. Thankfully the three items were untouched, the flavors still sent me into a state of euphoria.

Unfortunately the past several visits have been all but joyous, which is noted in my previous review. Our most recent visit was the third strike.

Bff and I went in with a clear and open mind that you would have taken my suggestions to heart and changed your ways for the better, instead, you went in the opposite direction.

-Upon being seated, our table was filthy and the hostess wiped the table by pushing the crumbs into our laps.

-Bff's white wine was warm and had some small cork in the glass. She ended up adding ice to her wine.

-The soupy sauce was watered down and it seemed they mixed two kinds of shrimp... Some tasted like shrimp, while others tasted like water.

-There was a HAIR in bffs shrimp. Mgr approved a new bowl. That's what did it for the bff, she was over the hype of KS.

-What's up with the smashed French Baguette?

-Server, Brielle, notified us she was going on break and said the porty (??) blonde will be helping us. Name calling is rude and unprofessional.

-The sweet potato pecan pie lacked the taste of sweet potatoe.

-The decaf coffee tasted as though it had been sitting for awhile, I didn't even finish my cup. And what's up with the plastic stirrers? What happened to the spoons? I asked for spoons because I prefer eating dessert with a spoon and bff likes putting some whipped cream in her coffee, spoons never came and we were so done with our experience, neither one bothered to ask, again.

-Walking out I took a pic of the floor. It's a lot nicer looking when it's clean.

-Walking to the restroom there were used paper towels on the floor. That's what happens when you don't put a trash can near the door. Also, walking to the ladies' room the smell of urine from the men permeated the walkway.

Bff and I discussed possible reasons for the sudden downward spiral KS has taken over the couple of years; not as successful as first thought? Possible Bankruptcy knocking on the doors? Why else would business' cut corners; watering down their entrees, using smaller amounts of ingredients, plastic stirrers in place of spoons. Kevin, it's doubtful your father would be proud of what has become of KS.

It causes me so much pain to have to end our 22 years of love and devotion, but like any relationship, it's a two way street. I have completely devoted to you, I have sung your praises to hundreds of people over the years, but it doesn't appear you are all that interested in me anymore, so I will have to let you go and give you the freedom to find who you believe in your sole mate.

Thank you for so many years of unbelievable pleasure, I wish you the best of luck in all that you do.

SIDENOTE: I'd give this place no stars if I could. Very disappointed.
