the other way around. With a design that flows with the landscape along the Yarra River the aquarium extends 23 feet below ground as not to impose on the surrounding streets. The most impressive exhibit of the Melbourne Aquarium is the 2.2 million liter ocean in the round display. The aquarium also plays host to a variety of events and educational programs throughout the year.

I was in Aquarium with 2yo and 5yo and both enjoyed a lot (me too). The place is big but not boring. There are several places which kids enjoy and which keep them entertained. And of course the big finale with penguins is awesome. Sharks in here are pretty small then in different aquariums I visited. And honestly I think the prices is bit high-adult 40 aud and kid 26 aud

Ever watch Happy feet? If you don't, well, now you are giving a chance to meet these cute little penguins shuffling in front of your eyes in the sunset! Meanwhile, visitors also will learn the importance of conserving natural habitat and the beauty of nature environment.

The aquarium is just another aquarium really. It is good to go and look around if you have young kids, but it's high ticket prices would make me want to suggest someone else a bit more interactive such as the zoo.

If you're into little furry creatures then you've got to go see the penguins at the Melbourne Aquarium. There's plenty of other strange sea creatures from the shores of this isolated continent, but these dauntless little fellows tend to steal the hearts of all who lay eyes on them, and its usually a question of who's looking at who.

The best part of the multi-level meandering Melbourne Aquarium was the acrylic tunnel that winds through a tank filled with enormous stingrays and sharks. Great attraction for kids as lots of displays are geared towards children.

I loved the King Penguins, however, it's a bit sad to see them a bit desorientated. Good place to see the dangerous box jellyfish very close!

Great place specially if you have kids. Had the chance to see 2 baby penguins which didn't have feathers yet. They also had guided tours and activities you can top up over the main entrance fee to get really close with the animals there.
