Local from Mexico City, Mexico

The old neighborhood of Santa María la Ribera would not be the same without its geometric Moorish kiosk. A meeting place for the inhabitants of the neighborhood. On weekends there are free workshops or low cost of crafts. In addition, Danzón dancing can be seen totally free.

One of the historical gems of our city, designed in 1884 for the world-wide fair of Newton Orleans, was located in the Alameda Central where today is the Hemicycle to Juárez and in 1910 it is transferred to the Alameda de la Santa María la Ribera, being his home since then, and declared a National Artistic Monument in 1972

It is an impressive architectural work that you can not miss, it is the most impressive kiosk of parks in Mexico and for this reason there are always events or people dancing on weekends. Do not forget to see the dome and the eagle that is in it.

The kiosk of Santa María la Ribera is a benchmark of ancient Mexico. Few people know, but this was a 100% Mexican architectural project that was assembled in the United States, but its primary location was the Alameda Central of the city. For 1910, Porfirio Díaz ordered to change it to the neighborhood where you can now enjoy its majesty. On weekends it is always full of children and families around and travelers taking pictures. Do not lose detail of its dome and the eagle that gives the final touch at the tip.

This majestic kiosk with a unique architecture is the symbol of the whole colonnade. It is in a very nice park where there are always activities for the little ones, from dances, skate, among other things. It was located in the Alameda Central, but it was Porfilio Diaz who moved it to its current site.
