Circa 39 Hotel Miami Beach

This super colorful boutique hotel is an awesome place to call home when exploring Miami! It's located in Miami Beach and the beach is literally across the road. It's also got a great pool if you don't like sand. There's also a great shuttle that will take you to South Beach that leaves right across the street!

Circa 39 is in that strange part of Miami Beach that isn’t quite South Beach and isn’t even quite Mid-Beach. That said, its been through a recent renovation that had me wondering if the place had only just been built. It feels fresh, and I was surprised how energetic the staff was — no just-polite-enough South Beach snobbery here. I enjoyed taking a break in the calming backyard picnic area/lounge, which is just as relaxing as the pool. The brightly-colored carpet throughout the whole building is pretty snazzy, as are the rooms. Best part? You're just a few steps from some of the best strip of beach in all of Miami. You are a bit removed from the club action of South Beach, but if that’s what you’re looking for, Circa 39 is a perfect place to stay.

Circa 39 is a hidden gem, tucked away on Collins Avenue in a forgettable part of town. Brightly furnished in colorful modern furnishings, the hotel boasts a pool, a courtyard, a restaurant and bar, all of which are homey and elegant all at once. It's a quick cab ride down to South Beach and just across the ocean. The perfect spot for someone who wants to be close to the action, but far away enough to relax. This hotel's bohemian attitude is perfect for a romantic getaway.

Situated in a quiet part of South Beach, Circa 39 is a posh boutique hotel that offers nice amenities but without the crowds of other large hotel chains. The lobby has an arty, eclectic atmosphere with immaculately renovated rooms to match. Plus, for a reasonable price you get a lot of amenities such as a pool, fitness center, and bar and restaurant. And it's right across the street from the beach. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, quiet holiday, Circa 39 provides a lovely retreat from the world.

Situated on Collins Avenue the Circa 39 is a great value hotel in Miami. The beach is really close, but South Beach is much further down. It costs about $8 if you go via taxi, or $2 on the bus. Being further North is a bit of an advantage as it isn't so noisy in the evening.
Our room was spacious but a bit tired and could do with a makeover. There is a red elevator that has a bit of a smell in it, I think it's from the carpet so it could do with a clean.
We had breakfast included which is rare in the USA. It was buffet style, not the best quality and was luke warm most mornings. This put us off eating there in the evenings, but there are so many options in Miami that this didn't concern us.
Overall the hotel was a great affordable base and the free WiFi was a big plus.
