In 1913, Joe Weiss opened up a small lunch counter on Miami Beach. Back then, Miami Beach was just a quiet, backwater town. Folks stopped in to chat and for a top-notch fish sandwich and fries. This, ... Read more

This is the famous Joe’s Stone Crab that has been in business for over 100 years. The stone crabs were great and the key lime pie was fantastic. Note that the stone crabs are only in season October to May 15 and the restaurant does close partially in the summer.

Joes was truly incredible. Food and service were first class. We’ve lived in Miami for two years and always felt Joe’s was a place for tourists but it’s so much more than that. The staff we delightful. We had jumbo claws which were delicious as was the grilled tomato side with cheese. Reasonably priced given the experience. Highly recommended.

Joe’s is a Miami Beach institution! What started as a classic seafood house has taken he top spot in Miami eateries. Stone Crabs are seasonal so make sure it’s the season, grab some creamed spinach, an order of stuffies, lyonnaise potatoes and finish off with a piece of the best Key Lime Pie in the world!

An institution of South Beach, well worth a visit for the stone crabs. The other food on the menu is kind of standard. The restaurant closes down for a few hours during the afternoon.
A bit more casual and enjoyable to grab drinks at the bar and an order of their stone crabs.

Little pricey, but some of the best seafood in town, especially crabs. Great for families, business, even dates (though it's not really a romantic/sexy place).

Get the fried chicken as a side - it's $7 and out of this world

best stone crabs and everything else, an establishment for decades, worth it. They also have a "to go" place next door to save some money.

This iconic Miami spot will likely require a wait (they don't take reservations) but the food is excellent and the service is incredibly friendly. The restaurant is massive but somehow still feels personable. Stone crabs are their specialty but you'll find a wide range of options.

Pretty good, nothing spectacular but it's a Miami institution so go here if you're in town.
Very old fashioned, elderly folks go here. Service was fine. They don't take reservations so usually it's about 39 minute wait time before they seat you

Joe's is the quintessential South Beach restaurant. If you are going to the main room expect to wait a bit. If you don't care about atmosphere walk over to the Joe's to go the spot next door. It's the same great food in a casual venue without the wait (and service)

It's overpriced but still good. I got their cookbook as a birthday present from my mom.

By far the most notorious restaurant in Miami. Only open for half the year, this place has amazing stone crab and seafood, and a little something for those who don't eat fish too (ridiculously good fried chicken). Throw in some steak house style sides, and baby, you got a stew goin. Don't forget to get there early, have a reservation, or a 50 with which to grease the host.

Try Joe's Take Away if you would rather skip the wait. It has the same delicious stone crabs sold at the eat-in restaurant next door but without having to wait to be seated.

Fried chicken is amazing, too. Expensive but worth treating yourself. I like the stone crabs better than lobster!

Amazing seafood, of course the crab claws are to die for. Very popular, so go early (or for lunch), otherwise be prepared to queue. No resos. Excellent service.

My father raved about this place and I had no idea what it really was all about.
I have to say I am not a big crab lover but the house specialty Stone Crab's has to be one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten!
If you are going to Miami do not miss this experience!
There is a reason that it has remained a top restaurant in Miami for all of these years!

Although it's now a national chain, this original location has historic panache and really does serve superb seafood. It's not cheap, and you'll need to shine your shoes or put on heels before coming over ever for lunch, but for a royal feast at Miami Beach, this spot well, hits the spot.

The insiders secret is to get the fried chicken! The ambiance and experience of Joe's for $ very cheap eats.
Stone Crabs at Joe's is the classic South beach dining experience at $$$$ but worth it.
