The Wynwood Arts District is home to over 70 Art Galleries, Retail Stores, Antique Shops, Eclectic Bars, and one of the largest open-air street-art installations in the world.
The Wynwood Arts District Association has been legally operating since 2009 for the well-being and improvement of the Wynwood Arts District, one of the largest and most prominent creative communities in the United States.
Taking over what used to be the warehouse and manufacturing district of Greater Miami, developers have rehabilitated neglected warehouses, shuttered factories, and other unused buildings, transforming them into the numerous art complexes, galleries, performing art spaces, restaurants, cafes, and other creative businesses that are seen here today.
With the introduction of the Second Saturday Art Walk in the District and the arrival of the Art Basel fair in 2002, Wynwood has seen some unexpected growth in a relatively short period of time as it gets more and more attention by the locals as the go-to place for an alternative and more cultural nightlife in the City of Miami.
Though the influence and relevance of the arts community in Wynwood is undeniable, new, creative businesses of all types are opening their doors in the District and encountering success here.

Miami’s Design District has quickly become one of the hottest area’s in the city thanks to it’s funky art-infused setting mixed with high-end boutiques. Here, you’ll find some of the biggest designer shops like Prada and Dior set up side-by-side on a perfectly landscaped tree-lined street. However, this area isn’t just known for its luxury shopping. The Design District has been the destination to go to for amazing restaurants. Here, you’ll find Miami’s hottest eateries like Michael Genuine’s Food & Drink, MC Kitchen and Mandolin Aegean Bistro. While the area is hot, it’s usually much more quiet than other bigger party areas, making it feel quaint and charming, perfect for family trips or romantic night outs.

Miami is a place of expression and no place demonstrates that better than the design district.

Right now you should avoid this area because it is under massive construction. In 2015, it will be the place to be in Miami with every luxury store in the world. Think Gucci, Prada, the list goes on

The Miami Design District is a creative neighborhood and shopping destination dedicated to innovative fashion, design, art, architecture and dining. Filled with art galleries, high-end furniture, fashion, and jewelry stores as well as several fine dining restaurants. But my favorite are the featured Event Venues such as the Moore Building or the Garden Building which features a rooftop garden that provides a beautiful backdrop for any event.

Local from Miami Beach

The Design District is a high fashion paradise, in one of the up-and-coming neighborhoods of Miami. Historically, there were local design shops and furniture stores. Some of the mom-and-pops still remain, but a whole new class of couture has moved in. Marni, Prada, Cartier and Hermes all have an outpost here, and the soon to be completed renovations plan to house even more. I love going even if its just to window shop.
