everything from utensils, cosmetics, stationary, snacks, to pet supplies! Pretty much everything I bought was $1.50 except for this ceramic pot that was $2.50 (if it is more than $1.50 they will label the item with a sticker). I felt most of the products was well worth the price tag although there were also some items that were made with cheaper quality. There are no returns so make sure you absolutely love what you are getting! $1.50 is cheap but it can pile up fast if you are grabbing everything you want in the store. *Tip The store is located in the Atlantic Plaza in Monterey Park. It isn't visible from the street so turn on Hellman and park in the underground parking lot. Then go up the escalator from the parking garage and the store is to the left.

This Daiso is comprehensive and conveniently located next to lots of great restaurants and the gym. Everything is $1.50 unless marked differently. Parking is underground. Service is blah but I don't come here for that.

1.50 for everything basically! What a steal, I went here to get some ties. The line seems long but it moves pretty fast.

Daiso is the 99 cents store of Japan. They have over 2500 locations in Japan and another 500 overseas. The last couple of years it started tot expand to the U.S. 40% of their items are made in China with most of their items being an in house brand.

Thumbs UP:

+ You find items here that you will most likely not find anywhere else.
+ Some item likes a $4 Fedora is hard to beat in any store.
+ Majority of their items are actually useful in some aspect.
+ The first Daiso opened in San Gabriel Valley.
+ Some shoppers would like pink signs everywhere in the store, but they definitely add their own style.

Thumbs Down:

- The store felt more like a liquid store pack with 99 cents store customer volume.
- Their return policy is like those found in Chinatown (NO RETURN OR EXCHANGE)

Note:

* Unlike typical 99 cents stores they do not carry fruit or vegetables here.
* Avoid weekends when it's the most crowded to least avoid awful parking in the plaza.
* Minimum of $10 required for all Credit Card Purchases (Visa and MasterCard Only) !

My 2 Cent

* Everything from the store you can get elsewhere, but expect to pay a higher price. You will not find Manga here, but it has really just a cuter and more upscale feeling than a 99 cents store with Japanese text despite it still being made in China.

This place is like the super upgrade to the dollar store, with everything at $1.50 and the most expensive item I saw was $4, You will be able to replace your whole house with little Japanese products. Always going in there and always leaving with something at hand. They say you always buy cheap stuff and there's always something you need and could restock on. I always leave with buying a air freshener or a strainer or something of some sort.

Easy parking right off Atlantic on the 10 freeway in the underground structure and it's free. Overall, come back for a better buying experience at Daiso.

Come to daiso and watch the money fly out your wallet but no need to worry, although the money is flying out the wallet, you'll be walking out with handfuls of super kawaii stuff! And whats even better than super kawaii stuff? Super kawaii stuff that you actually need and can use!!

Like most of the other reviews have already stated: Daiso is the Japanese version of our 99 cent stores. For the most part everything in the store is $1.50 and the things that aren't, are clearly labeled so there isn't any confusion.

Daiso has a strict all sales final - no exchange - no refund policy. But even if you happen to not like an item you picked up, just remember it was [probably] $1.50, so you can't be that upset.

The only reason I gave this Daiso 4 stars as oppose to 5 is because of how small the location is and how cramped it is in here. Because its so small, its easy to get frustrated with the other customers who bump into you every 8 seconds.

I love this little shop. They have adorable things that are fun and colorful. It's like an Asian dollar store, with everything from kitchenware to accessories to stationery. Great place to get some cheap items to use at home.

Ok I will be honest. When I first saw and went in Daiso I was anything but impressed. Then I started to cruise around the joint and realized what really was happening here. I left with a bag full of goods for $10 and I couldnt have been more happy and wanting to return soon again.

This place is conveniently located in Atlantic Square just off of the 10 freeway! It couldnt be more convenient unless it was just off of another freeway haha

Pro Tip: Everything in the store is $1.50 unless otherwise marked. The most expensive things I saw were listed at $4.00!

Parking is a piece of cake here as underneath Atlantic Square is a multi story parking garage. They have escalators and elevators within easy access to the entire subterranean structure.

Overall if you want some kinda kewl cheap JDM imports for kitchen chit or totally random unexpected stuff, this is a great place to find it =)

I am so in love with this store. I couldn't be happier that Daiso opened a store in Monterey Park because I wouldn't want to drive all the way to Gardena. The new Daiso is located inside the Atlantic Time Square. There's free parking underground.

Almost everything in the store is $1.50. It's like the Japanese equivalent to the American dollar store or I guess the 100 yen store with the exchange rates the way they are.

I just bought a USB mouse, a headphone, laundry mesh, dog collar, and a ton of tupperware for $1.50 each! They have so many items in the store. It's a great place to get kitchen, cleaning, and beauty products. I saw they have false lashes for $1.50 a pair. I usually pay $4-$6 for the same thing elsewhere. I will definitely be coming back for that.

You have to pay cash for purchases less than $10. They don't take AMEX or Discover and all purchases are final.
