A lovely place to explore. Includes a good play park for kids and the cafe is ideal for lunch or a glass of wine in the sunshine.

Beautiful place with amazing events.
We love the Botanical Garden in all season, it is near the house and always has something interesting to see. My favorite time is in the spring with the lilacs in bloom.

The botanical garden is one of the best sights in Montreal. Its gardens are stunning. We came in the fall, so while the flowers weren't in bloom, we did see the beautiful nighttime illuminations. Don't miss the Japanese and Chinese gardens. The only downside is that is was kind of an expensive attraction.

I went with my work two years ago, and it was a sight I cannot explain. It's such a beautiful place. I felt so serene and calm walking on the path. It's a great place to go with family, friends, a date, or even by your lonesome. A must for those visiting Montreal in hopes to see something astonishing!

Very pretty with neat varieties of flowers, plants, and trees. Interesting layout. Loved the Adirondack chairs everywhere. Skip the restaurant lunch. $7+ for a sandwich with a slice of cheese and one slice of turkey or ham.

The Montreal Botanical Garden is a cheap and exciting place to take the kiddies for an afternoon, the place is awesome. The botanic gardens themselves have a ton to offer: long walking paths fringed with various flowers and open spaces to picnic and relax. You almost feel like you are countryside. A lot to see, lots of picnic space. The sections are all very diverse, with lots of birds, turtles and animals to look at. If you and your family are into nature then this is a good outing option while in Montreal. The whole family will enjoy.

Beautiful place to be hanging around all year round, the variety of botanic varies depending on the time of the year, there is always something new to see. The place is really quite large with both indoor and outdoor areas! The gardens all have their little theme - Rose garden, Chinese garden, Japanese garden, Alphine garden, First nations garden. It's a great relaxing hike in the Arboretum area when not too hot and plenty of people relaxes on the grass next to the water and otherwise. It's quite stunning and you really could spend many hours here exploring the different types of flora and plants.

Very nice place to spend half a day taking a stroll. I went when they had plant sculptures which was even more amazing.

The best time of the year to visit the Botanical Garden is during Halloween time at night when they have all the Chinese paper lanterns lit up. Great place to take your kids.

This expansive botanical garden is my favorite place to escape the city after a few days in Montreal. You can stroll through various themed gardens, including a stunning Chinese garden with authentic architecture, or hop on a small train to get a quicker tour.

You could spend the whole day here, if plants are your thing. If not, buy a combo ticket, eat a picnic lunch in the garden and go across the street to the Biodome.
