This very large square is located near the water and is bordered by the Royal Palace and the Church of San Franciso de Paola. Sometimes there are open-air concerts held there, but for the most part it is wide open for a nice stroll and a good cup of coffee in one of the nearby cafes.

Little dirty and full of trash:( but huge and enormous historical place, worth it!

Main square of Naples and entrance to the Royal Palace. A great place to sit for a while in the shade on the steps of the enourmous church. They also have frequent free open air concerts!

Early in the morning, you can have the piazza all to yourself. Well, you'd share it with the pigeons, but at least it's peaceful. Head across the street for a breakfast of caffè alla nocciola and sfogliatelle. Mmmm.

Huge Piazza, that if you walk due west out toward the Bay of Naples, you will come directly to a promenade with spectacular views of Vesuvius and the bay.

The sheer grandness of the Piazza del Plebiscito, which is one of the largest in Naples is quite awe inspiring.

I don't even know how to explain the feeling of this piazza. It's just lovely watching the stressed crowd pass you by with hurried footsteps. The charming, massive piazza will make you feel so small and yet so big. Definitely a must see while visiting Naples.

The locals enjoy messing around with the tourists and this is the perfect spot for a game! In the end of the square there are two statues, one on each end of the piazza. Here comes the fun part. You're supposed to walk on a straight line and end up in the middle of them, all this with your eyes closed. This shouldn't be too hard, right? Think again, the ground tilts slightly and no matter how many times you try you'll never end up at the same spot as last time. You'll definitely end up looking like someone stumbling around lost in the desert.

This is a truly stunning square. Its quite insane to think this place has been used as a parking lot for buses for many years, before the administration finally figured out what a terrible thing they were doing. This is a really cool place to hang out and one of Italy´s coolest squares.

I'm a huge fan of big squares, particularly in Naples when everything else feels like tight quarters. The Piazza del Plebiscito is also located near the water, which gives me the "easy out" sensation, as if I'd actually call it quits by jumping into the harbor napoletana.

Very open and great for photos, particularly when the sun starts setting.

Piazza del Plebiscito is the most famous square in Naples. It is in the heart of the city and there are really interesting monuments all around. However it is a little dirty and maybe tourists prefers visiting other spots in town. However I think it is a must see.
