Nashville Vacations

Nashville’s many nicknames tell various stories about the personality of this capital of Tennessee: as “Music City,” Nashville is to aspiring Johnny Cashes and Loretta Lynns what Hollywood is to nineteen-year-old thespian fortune seekers. The Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame are here, and four major record labels have offices; in fact, ... Read more
Nashville is the second largest producer of music in the US, behind Los Angeles. A plethora of universities (notably Vanderbilt University ) has earned Nashville the second nickname “Athens of the South,” but some call it the “Buckle of the Bible Belt” or the equally colorful “Protestant Vatican” for its many churches and Christian publishing industry.

music related. Summer is hot, often topping 90F (32C), which can make being outside for long periods of time a little overwhelming, and the city tends to fill up when families go on vacation. Occasional snows during winter add an air of festivity to the season, but can make travel cold and tricky. One note of warning if you do decide to travel during the fall or early winter: finding a hotel room (or a spot in a sports bar) can be tricky around game days during football season.

Nashville is the up-and-coming spot to travel in the South. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting to eat authentic southern comfort food, without some of the depressing symptoms of the south.

A great American city for a younger crowd. The nightlife and food here are great, but the culture could use some influence from others.

Nashville is a wonderful city. It's got an incredible music scene and a great foodie scene, with some other fun sights to experience. I know I've only scratched the surface of Nashville and most definitely need to come back one day to experience it all again.

The capital of Tennessee, Nashville is also known as the Country Music Capital of the World Music City USA. Located on the Cumberland River, Nashville is a lively, historic town, with lots of restorations, museums and music landmarks to visit.

Our first night we decided to take a cab to Broadway. It was the same price of a parking garage. We went to every bar we could. So much fun.
