New Delhi Vacations

One of the most populated and bustling locations in India, New Delhi is among the oldest established cities in recorded history. Thought to have been originally constructed over five thousand years ago, Delhi has as many signs of ancient life as any other of the world’s most culturally vibrant locations. of being surrounded by one of the most unique cultures in the world. With pristine examples of architecture, tradition and artwork from various dynasties and religions, it’s amazing to consider that these ancient treasures survived in a city that has been destroyed and rebuilt eleven different times. Qutb Minar and its Monuments and the Red Fort complex just to name a couple. Tourist attractions like zoos and shopping centers abound, but what really makes New Delhi stand out is the amazing ambiance felt while within her limits. Maybe that feeling is just the undeniably scorching heat of this area, but it's also possible that the thousands of years worth of history might be playing a factor, too.

season. Although rooms and bargains might be harder to find, it’s best to plan ahead and stick to the regular high season. After all, it’s no good finding a great deal on a hotel if you can’t leave it for more than five minutes at a time. If you go during the winter, bring layers, as temperatures can dip into the 40s (below 7C) at night.

I had a good time there. Love Indian people. But the streets are very dirty in New Delhi especially around Taj Mahal((

I love New Delhi! Shopping is the best. I go to The usual- Fabindia, etc. my favorite, not the cheapest, Delhi Haat. You can get absolutely everything here. You can haggle & get great deals. It’s a one stop shop kind of place. Eat at rajinder ka dhaba. Late night hole in the wall- eat in the parking lot kind of place. Evergreen also has a quick good lunch. I go often- if you have questions, feel free to ask

New Delhi fascinates me, and I want to like it more, but with the horrible pollution (world's worst city is just to the south, according to one list) and bad poverty, it wasn't the easiest place to visit.

Crowded, filthy, and endlessly interesting, Delhi is most traveler's starting point in India. There are things to see here, so stay a couple days before heading off around this enormous country.

I needed more than 5 days in Delhi. Delhi is big and offers so much that was overwhelming to plan my limited time there. The streets are busy, dirty and noisy. Many shopkeepers are pushy and they even make up things to take advantage of having you there. But everything else is amazing. I have to go back soon.
