Great restaurant. I have eaten here a few times. It's pricey but the food is good.

Must try brunch at Brennans at least once. I highly recommend the bloody marys to go with your brunch.

The original Brennan’s family restaurant plays host to a bevy of ghosts. The upstairs Red Room holds the spirit of a sordid, past building owner who couldn’t handle his financial ruin and committed suicide after murdering his own family. He appears dressed in 18th-century clothing and peers in disapprovingly and forebodingly at revelers and workers in his room. Additionally, long-time Chef Paul Blange is said to have never left his post in the kitchen, nudging current chefs preparing meals and banging pots and doors once the kitchen has emptied. And finally, former wine master Herman Funk still performs his wine cellar work, even in the afterlife. When an employee is grabbing a bottle of wine for a patron, Herman clinks another bottle just out of reach, suggesting his own pairing of preference. So as you’re eating your Brennan-original Bananas Foster, be sure to thank Chef Blange and Herman for their posthumous dedication.

Home of the banana's foster. They make a big show of cooking your dessert and like to set up the perfect pictures for you to take. Very sweet waiters! It was more expensive than I expected and the food was ok.

When I asked around where to get the best Bananas Foster, a particularly New Orleanian dessert, everyone recommended Brennans. I was not disappointed. I can't remember what I had for dinner though.

Very special evening had here at Brennan's in the MAIN dining room with my little one. Can't recall what we had for dinner... soup - salad, wine (I had the wine) - we had a dinner rez and coming from CA I was jet lagged and had ate just a couple of hours before but was not going to miss having the dessert voted BEST by Food Network so of course we shared the Bananas Foster - sweet goodness!!! It was ah-mazing. If you aren't having brunch of dinner - we did see many people coming in for dessert only. I'd suggest it :)

Breakfast at Brennans is not to be missed. It will easily set you back over $100, but the simple elegance and leisure gives you a taste of another world. The fixed price menu includes three courses. The Bananas Foster are not to be missed. You'll be so full you'll want to skip lunch. Afterwards, a leisurely stroll through the antique shops on Royal Street will round out an excellent experience.

We had read about this Restaurant as being the birthplace of Bananas Foster... and that it was the place to go for Brunch! So reservations were made and away we went. This is in the French Quarter, in a lovely old building... and yes I love the old buildings! Service was remarkable! Attention to every detail... a fine dining experience. Everything we ordered was very good.... we tried some turtle soup (it was nothing like I was expecting - but good.). Then it was the end of the meal and the finale... Bananas foster made at our table..... Ron our waiter did a stupendous job, and it tasted really good (and I'm not overly fond of banana..) This restaurant is a little higher priced than our norm... but it is a fine dining experience... and was worth every penny.
