An old local bar with old football helmets hanging from the ceiling and a special absinthe menu. I didn't try one as they were quite pricey but i got my first Sazerac there.

Fun place to go if you've got a friend visiting who wants to try absinthe. They have the cheap stuff and the good stuff, and might make a show of it if it's not too busy.

This place is the typical stroll in, grab a drink and leave on bourbon street.

One of the oldest establishments in New Orleans! The building is from the early 1800s. Great vibes and absinthe options.

Tourists go here. They don't serve wormwood. The drinks are pricey but nothing special. The ambient is cool.

This bar has been a local favorite for over 200 years, so do not let the tradition stop now. A great place to meet locals, especially on a Friday afternoon when businesses close their doors early and the who's who of the city make it down to Absinthe for a cold beverage and celebrate the week being over.

Mmmm what delicious characters you witness as you sip your custom blend and survey the potpourri of humanity at this ever-flowing watering hole. Atmosphere is a key component to enjoying this beautifully dilapidated historic bar, whose slow aging process is celebrated rather than masked by a fresh coat of paint. Let the dross converge at Pat O'Brien's, and feel the intoxicating vibe of a New Orleans local here at the old Absinthe House.

Classic bar from the early 1800's that has w full bar with a special Absinthe menu...done the old school way with a sugar cube and water by pretty classy looking ladies. Loved the Mata Hari and all the old Football helmets hanging from the ceiling

We stopped in for a drink on a busy Sunday night and although they were a little slow to wait on us the drinks and atmosphere were great! The shot we got was a little pricey but they have cheaper options.

The Old Absinthe House is a great place to go to have a drink and watch the crowds go by in the French Quarter. The building is over two hundred years old, and the rumor is that Jean Lafitte and General Andrew Jackson met at this spot to prepare and plan for the British invasion.

Right in the heart of all the action on Bourbon. Bartenders serve up the most delicious house made bloody mary at all hours of the day and night. The bloody mix is crafted with freshly juiced tomatoes and is the perfect libation to perk you up and see you through to sunrise.
