Definitely a must if you like falafels. They have the best around! Cash only and open late. Original location!

Great pita sandwiches! Take a bottle of their hot sauce home but be warned it's not for the faint of heart!

The best falafel, the fastest falafel and the freshest falafel in town. The baklava is also very good.

Mamoun's Falafel is well known among those who live in Lower Manhattan. Although it's cash only, the food is really cheap and good. I definitely want to go back and try their other foods.

I've been going to mamouns since I was in a stroller. my family's favorite story to tell is how I gave them directions to this place, and then when we walked in, they all shouted my name. I've brought Israeli friends of mine here and they've said the falafel is better here than in Israel. I've brought this back to my house in Union County, New Jersey and it was still delicious when I got home. Make this a stop on your trip, whether you're a local or a tourist.

Mamoun’s is nothing more than a hole in the wall, consisting of a couple of stand-up tables and two tiny benches outside. But the line that stretches out the door even in the middle of the night should give you a hint of just how much of a gem this place is. The falafel is absolutely amazing, and comes in a pita overflowing with the freshest green salad and tahini sauce, all for just $3.50. An absolute must if you’re ever in the area.

My friends love this place and now I know why. It's a small little shop with $3.50 falafel sandwiches. The falafels were spiced well and delicious. You HAVE to try the hot sauce. It's quite the kick in the tongue. If you fall in love with it, you can buy bottles of it from them. Perfect spot for cheap eats or late night munchies after drinking.

I was stuffed when I tried this, but I just had to since it was on my list of places to try and I was running short on time left in NYC.

Tried the falafel since after all that's what this place is named for, and it was delish!!! for less than $3 you have yourself a pretty damn good meal or snack! Wish i could have enjoyed it more since I couldn't do much damage on it and only took three bites and then picked out all the good ingredients.

TIP: Don't forget to sauce it up!! :)

Great little falafel joint. Hole in the wall tiny with only two tables... So if you can't snag a table you can go to a park and enjoy one of the best falafels' you'll ever have.

My very first falafel. I had never had one before I moved to NYC but after many falafel all around the city, this is still one of my faves.

Great falafel to eat as you walk down the street. Sometimes there's a line out the door at lunch time.

You can't beat a falafel pita sandwich for $2.50 in New York. The grape leaves are a great side if a sandwich isn't enough. Make sure you have your cash ready and know what you want to order. The staff is never friendly and they want to serve the line as quickly as possible.

Get your fix for shawarma, falafel and hummus here. It is incredibly tasty and they offer great hot sauces and garlic sauce to fix up your meals. Favorite place to get a quick meal in NYC.

CLASSIC! LANDMARK! STAPLE!
OK here we go, I get hungry, so does NYU, SO does the rest of NYC, but where do people go at 4:30am- duh Mamoun's Falafel, where they have been feeding me for the past unteenth years of my life, when sadly no other pizza place would. But thats OKAY because Mamouns FALAFEL trumps their PIZZA anyways anytime, when I have my guilty urge to indulge...its sssssooooo goood #yummy!

When you're just not up for spending ridiculous amounts of money in New York but want to eat something tasty, head to old stand-by Mamoun's. Their falafel with or without hummus is a West Village classic.
