An amazing bar but almost always crowded. If you can squeeze in, find a corner and try and stay for a few rounds. Not only one of the best cocktail bars in the city, or country, it's won best cocktail bar international. The boilermakers which combine quality shots with various beers are a fun thing I haven't seen elsewhere. (I like the apricot cordial with hefeweissen)

A very popular nighttime spot with a combination of traditional Irish pub snacks and inventive cocktails.

The waitresses at The Dead Rabbit are awesome, but I wasn't that impressed with the bartenders. Rather than being approachable and interested in discussing their craft (on a slow night mind you), they seemed rather haughty. The drinks were okay. As a gin aficionado, I was really hoping the bartenders would be able to do a stellar job elevating my usual gin and tonic into something more given all their cool ingredients, but after one of their frou frou suggestions, I ended up just going with a G&T for the next round. (They did surprise me by not charging me for the first drink given that the recommendation wasn't spot on.) I ended up sitting upstairs on the second floor which is more cozy and intimate/less like the noisy crowded hall downstairs. It had a nice ambiance and made for a more relaxing setting for enjoying a tipple or two. I also ordered the truffled chips which came with a curry aioli, malt vinegar mayo and ketchup which were pretty tasty.

The corned beef sandwich was excellent. Took a little time to be served and waitress gave us complimentary Irish coffees because of the wait. Nice gesture.

Great cocktails in this cozy little place. Was bummed coz they said 45 min wait but we got inside in 10 and it was empty. Hate when places do that.

Awesome cocktails with equally amazing food. The Corned Beef is one if the best sandwiches I've ever had. Loved the Tipperary a twist on the Manhattan and their hand pulled beer is brewed for them by Six Point. While its less then a year old, looks like its been around for ever... with food and drink this good it should be

The best drinks in New York. The drinks are all unique and are simply amazing. The food is also very good. I would recommend trying one of the communal punches.

Winner of multiple awards in 2013 (World's Best New Cocktail Bar, World's Best New Cocktail Menu and International Bartender of the Year), the Dead Rabbit is an ode to Old New York and Irish-American tradition. As soon as you'll walk in, you'll notice the ground floor is very much like an Old Irish pub, with the exception that the cocktails here, even the bar food, are exceptionally better than any other Irish pub you have been to. Hanging out here comes with the full experience: the bartender voluntarily explains the history of the place and suggests which drinks to start off with. It's best to start with an Irish coffee - best I've ever had! - followed by a warm whisky punch, recipe dating from the 1600s. Order some appetizers, they are all incredibly delicious! Also, ask for a tour upstairs, which is more of a speakeasy. Truly the best bar I've seen in the usually neutral Financial District area! Perfect for large groups too, if you come earlier in the night.
