the original sign remains. Its concert hall showcases the sounds of local independent acts, national alternative rock groups and touring bands, such as Quiet Loudly, Rural Alberta Advantage and the Seabellies. Expect crowds of fresh-out-of-college and working professionals on weekends. The live DJs, food bar and happy hour add to the ambience for a sophisticated yet sing-along-friendly atmosphere.

Can not get any better then this place. It was originally a piano bar but no longer, however the new owner kept the name and it's fantastic. From the happy hour 2-8 and from burgers to nachos from Frozen margaritas. I advice you to take it easy with margaritas..

I have a lot of friends who on their way to bigger gigs make a pit stop here so it's worth checking out the talent that comes through its doors.

Not my favorite place because of the crowd and music that is played here but have been when friends are djing and then it's fun

What a great spot, which was an old converted piano shop! Hey that rhymes.

The music is very hip here with them playing more groovy and housey music in the front part where you can also get some bomb food! The fried chicken sandwhich was great but bread was a bit too crunchy and the burger whatever my friend chose was HUGE and amazing.

The part which was a trip is that if you go to the back there's another room which is more of a private music venue with a small stage. They had some rocker band playing, super rad. AND THEN if you go upstairs they play more hip hop and top 40s kind of vibe.

Definitely digging this spot and will come here every time I'm in NYC.

Super cool hipster bar in the Lower East Side that's great for catching live bands.

The downstairs is a nice place to grab a drink and upstairs is the perfect late night dancing spot! There is usually a pretty solid music selection too.

I had a great time at Pianos! Cute bar downstairs with a DJ in the corner and chill music, dance party upstairs with a lot of Top 40 blasting. Perfect for those who want to start the night off slow then ramp up to something else. It's a great 2-for-1! The beers were priced okay for the LES and there was a decent selection. I'll definitely come back here.

One of NYC's best and cheapest concert venues for indie acts, expect long lines and hardly any room to breathe on the weekends; however a concert during the week is the perfect local spot to hear a live show.

It's a dirty, dirty club, with overpriced drinks, loud music, and a wasted crowd. It's the typical lower east side spot that isn't particularly popular (nor even close to popular) but not a bad choice. Enjoyable for what it is, I think.

I love Pianos. Their happy hour is so cheap and good. I had the burger with blue cheese, along with the nachos and chicken tenders. The portions were plentiful and delicious. Pianos gets packed pretty quickly so come early to secure a seat.

Pianos is a great bar for cheap drinks, happy hour appetizer food for five dollars, and live music. This is a two floor bar where at the top floor are the local bands that come into play.

Great bar. Lively. Good music. And often packed. There is a concert hall in the back and an extra room upstairs (though you have to pay to get up there, I think).
