Description
The World Trade Center was a group of seven buildings, the key focus being on two twin towers in Lower Manhattan, New York. The complex opened on April 4, 1973. The original towers gave you a view of ... Read more
the whole city on the 107th floor of tower two; it also included Windows To The World, a restaurant located on the 106th floor of tower one. New York has been working tirelessly since the 2001 attacks that took the towers down to build a memorial in the place where they originally stood. If you go to the location of where the trade center towers used to be today, you'll see where One World Trade Center will be when it is completed.

Very sentimental and astonishing. The architecture of the facility is outstanding and beautifully constructed.

One World Trade Center is redefining Lower Manhattan’s New York skyline. Standing at a symbolic 1,776 feet tall, the architectural and engineering marvel is an ever-present symbol of renewal and hope.

I visited the new one World Trade Center and it is quite beautiful, the views are amazing however; can not help but feel sad being in the area remembering what happened 2001

An iconic building and landmark of NYC. It's built right next to the 9/11 memorial.

Quite a site to look at. Especially vibrant at night - and don't miss the scenic lookout to the Statue of Liberty at the adjacent park. Beautiful mall right there as well with a huge exotic food court.

As a child I saw the World Trade Center's Twin Towers on a few times up close, though their image from a distance was the focal point of cityscape of my hometown along the Jersey Shore. I saw the World Trade Center in ruins just once, about three weeks after the 9/11 attacks. Then the steel, glass and concrete were piled three stories high and still smoldering. A few months ago I made my first visit to the 9/11 Memorial and beheld One World Trade Center up close for the first time. Seeing the impressive tower, gleaming beyond the somber, yet beautiful black stone and waters of the memorial moved me like few travel moments ever have.

The World Trade Center is not just the particular buildings, and although the new Freedom Tower has replaced the Twin Towers, the WTC is still there. The only really interesting thing is going to the top of the tall buildings to see the view.

This is a magical place. Filled with so much to share to each person who crosses path with it. The museum is a touching place that will bring tears to your eyes. Two big waterfalls stand in the place of the old twin towers. Worth the 15 dollars and 10 for students and seniors.

Must see. The almost topped out tower is breath-taking. Let alone the other WTC towers.

It was a great place to visit especially the gift shop on the top of the WTC. It was an amazing service that those ladies did.

I will never forget the day I spent at "On Top of the World", the gift shop, cafe and exhibit that was at the top of one of the towers. I was there in Dec. 2000. I am fortunate that the winds subsided enough so I could spend time on the roof top observation deck. It seemed impossibly high, part of the sky instead of attached to the earth.

The new One World Trade is still in progress to becoming one of the most significant skyscrapers in NYC and the world. It will stand testament to New Yorkers' (and Americans') strength and resilience. A tribute to the lives lost and our most promising future as citizens of the greatest City on earth.
