This is hands down the best sandwich around, in town or really ever!!!
It's so delicious! I was in San Francisco and my girlfriend recommended it and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a fan of jersey mikes and I didn't think a sandwich could too them...and I was wrong. The bread and the crisps on top was out of this world. The fun ingredients and fried chicken steak with the yummy avocado! I can't wait to get another one. I devoured the whole thing instantly! So hard to savor because every bite is an explosion of flavor.

The legendary status of this sandwich shop is not exaggerated. I been itching to give this place a try for lunch for a month now and finally got my chance before going on Christmas break.

My first bite of the Elvis Keith though - was magical. The dutch crunch bread, perfectly baked and the crunchiness adds just the perfect touch of texture without being hard, even with the plentiful of veggies and halal chicken inside, the bread did not get soggy. The chicken - tender, savory, warm, and crispy all at ones, and the teriyaki sauce/wasabi mayo was just the perfect combination to give it an Asian sauce and spicy kick. My stomach probably only had room for half of the very generous portion of the sandwich, but my taste buds craved for more. The entire sandwich was finished and fingers were licked within minutes.

The perfect sandwich. Can't wait to try more in the New Years.

okay - so my old manager was talking NON STOP about this place and how good it is. so one of my other coworkers and I headed there for lunch. I'll definitely will be back. I hope you stay open for a long time.

I don't even remember the name of my sandwich or hers, but I got the roast beef one with the onion rings. I wish that they offered it as half size, because a full size for me was WAY too much and at 13 bucks, it's a bit pricey when I end up only eating half. BUT i digress. The sandwich was fabulous. I would go back for it - but only the fact that I dump half of it would keep me from ordering the same thing.

I opted for the Dutch Crunch bread option. It's basically a french bread but with a crunchy topping i think is the best way to put it. I know that I've gotten a loaf of it at Safeway before while in the Bay Area, but not something I've ever seen in my neck of the woods in SO CAL Good recommendation from my old boss.

Honestly I don't even remember what my coworker ordered. I know she ate the whole thing and like it. But it was one of the options where you could get half a sandwich, so the portion was much smaller.

I loved that they had a selection of non-standard soda's in bottles. They had CHEERWINE which I do see more frequently in places nowadays outside of North Carolina, but I opted for Mexican Pepsi. Gotta love the real sugar!

With each sandwich they do give you a lollypop - blow pop or the caramel apple one as is seen in one of the pictures here. So it's nice to end with something sweet.

There are vegan/veggie options as well, so it's not just for us meatlovers.

when i was growing up this is what made the ideal sandwich. it was in my lunchbox every day at school and if i had a lunchbox these days i would insist on an ike's sandwich. our tastes change as we grow and even though i still love miracle whip the rest i can pass on any day for the extravagant ike's sandwich.

I have been waiting an east bay location closer to my home for so long and I'm so excited he finally opened up in oakland. I'm going to be here every week and that is a promise.

this is a great place for a sandwich and alot better than any sandwich chain out there. I can hobestly say this is te best sandwich i have ever had in my life. first of all the sandwich names are as out there as you can get and ike is obviously a huge child of our pop culture past. the sandwich combinations are insanely creative and make it hard for me to choose my sandwich of the day. there is alot going on with the sandwiches so they can get messy and a little soggy so i just enjoy myself and make it a sandwich experience. each and every sandwich is loaded to the tee with the freshest of ingredients and each halve so big i usually have the rest for a midnight snack.

they offer veggie and vegan sandwiches as well but with all those great options for those who eat meat i have yet to go to those menu's. and the fries are healthy and good for me! yay some of the best fries i have ever had. a long wait..........WHO CARES! i can deal with it because the place is small and the demand is so insanely high. this place is all about creativity and just being who you are, so have fun and enjoy your ike's.

i would say ike's gets the best original creative scrumptious sandwich i have ever had anywhere sandwich.
