famous polar ship. At this museum, you learn about the various adventures that the polar ship undertook throughout its life in the early 1900s. The best part about the museum is that the ship is actually housed inside the venue, meaning that you are able to climb aboard the ship and go through its cabins and cargo holds in order to fully experience what life was like aboard this vessel.

In terms of ships and maritime museums, this was my favorite. You can climb aboard and explore the inside of these massive expedition ships, plus, the special effects really immerse in the experience. A must see!

The Fram Museum while full of history and stories of triumph just wasn't for me. The line to enter was crazy busy and the overall set up of the place was a little dense for my liking.

If you had a lot of time and enjoyed a lot of reading then this place would be for you. While some of the exhibit was eye catching, the Giant Ship the museum is built around for example. The rest I found a little draining. I enjoyed the story but I felt like there was a lot more information than necessary in some aspects.

I was able to wander my way around the ship itself and found my inner Captain Jack Sparrow but it was very hot inside and I was only wearing shorts and a t shirt. I can see how for someone older it could become a difficult task.

The highlight for me was the pancake store inside and discovering that I could pull a 300kg sled.

An enjoyable museum. The best part was the cold room, it was an unexpected surprise.

The Fram Museum is the home of the world’s strongest polar vessel. If you are interested in polar expedition history, don’t miss the Fram Museum. It’s the symbol of Norway’s significant participation in the heroic age of exploration. Noticeably, Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup, and Roald Amundsen who took turns in exploring new areas in both the Arctic and Antarctic on this amazing ship.

Explore the weather conditions of men who sailed the Arctic and Antarctic in a wooden ship, more than hundred years ago. However, it is not any wooden ship, but the strongest one ever built. You will have a chance to experience the polar simulator, see some interesting exhibits and buy some great items in the museum shop.

Visit the Fram, the famous ship that made historic expeditions to Arctic. It was specially constructed with a rounded hull so it wouldn't get trapped in the ice. You get to actually go onto the ship, which has exhibits set up to depict typical ship life.

More interesting than expected, the Fram Museum actually includes the 125 foot Fram, a steam and sail powered ship that traveled into the Arctic and Antarctic. So, you think you are not interested in these things? Remember, you're in Norway, so you may as well give it a try!

Great exhibit hall for the Fram, an old Norwegian polar ship that did lots of exploring. Originally build in 1892, it made three arctic voyages. You get to climb around inside and on top of the ship. On the walls surrounding the ship are many artifacts from the expeditions.
