This was one of the first restaurants I tried in NorCal, and it’s still one of my favorites! There’s always a crowd in front of this place, so I know I’m not the only one who thinks that! The restaurant is long and narrow with larger parties seated towards the back. My first recommendation would be the hummus! If you’re going to get anything, get this! The pita bread they bring you is super soft and fluffy, so I love putting copious amount of the hummus on it and eating it! The skewer dishes are also good. They’re huge and filling!

I’m in love with their baba ganoush. I have yet to find another place closer to where I live that tastes just as good. The prices can get pretty steep tho. Not budget friendly, but really good food

Found a live bug in my food (ordered through a delivery service). Rushed back to the restaurant and returned it for a full refund. Whoever managed that place did not even show up at the front desk to apologize. saved the video and the screenshot of the receipt.

We had Oren's Hummus catered for an event with about 15 people and we found the food pretty delicious. The hummus was delicious and creamy, the grilled chicken was nicely spiced, and the falafels were soft and fluffy. One of the platters we ordered also has some couscous and marinated olives.

Catering for one of the Gogobot events I attended was from this place. Already a fan of hummus, so I figured I'd like it. More like love. Everything was delish. I'll have to stop by eventually and pick up some more to take home.

This is the BEST-EST place for food. It is all quality food, and the serving portions are very good. This is amazing food.

They have one of the best pita bread. It's very soft and it definitely grabs your attention even if you have meat left on the side. Their hummus is super smooth and the tahini is so silky. It pairs so perfectly with the pitas which are reminiscent of little pillows of cloudy heaven. Go for the white pita because it's much fluffier and chewier than the wheat.

I'd advise skip the green dipping sauce and go straight for the RED sauce. Don't worry though, red doesn't automatically mean fire. It's a flavorful garlicky sauce that's fairly mild. If you want heat, eat the green sauce.

Oren's is always busy, so don't come here expecting supreme customer service all the time. The service we got was good enough and they even refilled our drinks.

In summation, Oren's is a solid choice on University. It's affordable and sure to please.

Really great high quality mediteranean place. Prices are a bit on the high side but the quality is there with it.

Mmmmm came here on a somewhat busy Saturday night with my boyfriend because we saw some great reviews! The restaurant itself is small and crowded with a seat yourself type of deal.

We shared a hummus chickpea and I got a rice bowl with chicken kabob. My boyfriend got the chicken kabob skewers with a side of falafel balls and sweet potato fries. (You can chose 2 sides from a very long list!)

We waited about 15-20 minutes and the food came all at once. It would have been nice if we had the hummus first to munch on since we were super hungry but all good!

Hummus: really good, I think I've tried better, but still satisfying. The chickpeas were watery (maybe because it was the end of the day?) so it left puddles of liquid on top of the hummus. Still good though. Came in a pretty large bowl. The pita bread that it comes with are SUPER thick! They're like super fluffy pancakes! They were soft and really good!

Rice bowl: The rice bowl was quite large as well. The rice was really flavorful, with tomatoes and onions, and chicken kabob was served on top. Yummy pieces of juicy chicken, fairly large chunks with a decent amount of pieces. Came with a side of tahini sauce which was great for dipping!

Chicken Kabob: same chicken as in the rice bowls, really good. Sweet potato fries were awesome! Crunchy and sweet with a tangy dipping sauce. My favorite was the falafel balls. Crunchy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, drizzled with tahini sauce!

Ended with a desert called malabi, an interesting type of flan topped with raspberry sauce, rose water, coconut and pistachios. It was an interesting flavor but we enjoyed it!

Overall great food at a decent price with large portions. Staff was very friendly too, they didn't say anything about the outside drinks we brought in! We plan on coming back anytime we're in the area!

I love Oren's Hummus. They have amazing skewers, salads and of course, hummus. I recommend the chicken skewer or the fattoush salad. You really can't go wrong with any of the varieties of hummus. They also sell containers of their hummus to go too.

The food here is amazing. Nuff' said.

Ask the waiter what they recommend and just go with it... and get an assortment of items.

Oren's Hummus' serves up a tasty beef pita sandwich. The hot green Harissa sauce and the red chili garlic sauce are both delicious extras you can add to your meal for free. I like adding the feta to my pita too.

if you eat in service can be wonky and you'll probably face a long wait. i normally do take out. their hummus is good, just not good enough to justify the hassle for dealing with their front of house issues
