A good place to get inexpensive pizza with as many toppings as you want. The food comes out quickly since it's fast-casual. Good quality.

Blaze FAST-Fire Pizza is seriously true to its name!

Thanks to Pi Day, the lines were out the door yesterday but they managed the crowd so well! I want to give them major props for churning out pizzas at record times. I was in and out within 15 minutes! They even provided iced mango and strawberry drinks for everyone waiting in the heat outside, this gesture was much appreciated!

Along with great customer service, this build-your-own pizza chain also stands out from the others in the variety of fresh ingredients they offer. You can literally come up with an infinite number of combos from all the ingredients and sauces. Although, I would suggest going simple so you don't overload your pizza and confuse your taste buds!

*Tip* Since the location is on the busy Colorado and Molino corner, I would recommend parking in the lot on Molino and Union. Street parking can be difficult during rush hour times.

Out of the build it yourself pizza paces this one is my favorite. I really enjoy their sauce and toppings. I often get extra sauce on the side to enjoy with my crust.

I went here during pi day (3.14) and received the best service, ever! The line was extremely long because they were offering pizzas for $3.14. Even though it was hectic and busy, the customer service was still on point! I will definitely be back when it's not too busy. Street parking.

I don't know how many pizza joints you've been to that has like 50 people behind the counter. It's set up a little bit like Chipotle where there is one guy at the front taking your order. Someone in the back cranking out the dough. Another person lays it out onto a metal plate and assembles your order. You follow your order.

With all these pizza places opening up it seems that everyone wants to cash in on the business whether it be from Pieology, The Pizza Press, 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria and Blaze, there certainly is no shortage of places to get your customized pizza fix.

This particular location is in downtown Pasadena, good luck finding parking here since it is a nightmare filled with one way streets and lots of pedestrians walking around. There is a lot where you can pay for parking but why do that when it should be FREE! Luckily, I was able to find a parking spot on the street near the restaurant which was nice or else I would have been stressing out.

This Blaze pizzeria is fairly large, when I came on a Friday night, it was very packed but the lined moved very quickly. It only takes 180 seconds for the pizza to finish baking and the pizza is a fixed price for as many toppings as you want. The service was very friendly and the employees were very efficient on the way they handled the barrage of oncoming customers.

My pizza ended up with: classic red sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bacon, banana peppers and basil. I think that thin crust pizza should have a minimal amount of toppings, some people go overboard and get like 7+ toppings on it to the point where it does not even count as a pizza anymore, rather just a large pile on random ingredients using the pizza crust as a bowl. There is plenty of seating inside and the bathrooms are surprisingly clean.

Be warned though, the pizza is fairly small, I was pretty hungry and when I finished mine, I was still hungry and could probably eat 2 more if I really wanted. The problem is that with this thin crust of pizza, there is not much dough used so there is not enough carbs to fill your stomach up and make you full. There needs to be a perfect ratio of dough and toppings to make the perfect thin crust pizza and sadly this place falls short of it. In my opinion, Pieology does it better!

As a big fan of pizza as I am, this place is "A-OK" at best, to be honest, the pizza I make at home is probably better.

Good build it yourself style pizzeria although the crust can be better it's not my favorite not crispy or fluffy but a little rubbery.

They offer a good selection of toppings that others don't - like roasted zucchini and caramelized onions, aside from the norm and their spicy sauce actually has a nice spice that's not overpowering.

Alright so I knew about Blaze before but never really stopped by, maybe cause there aren't many locations near me. But I finally decided to try this to compare it with Pieology. It definitely beats Pieology. The service and food is great. The food is fresh and delicious. As you walk in, you see a long line but in actuality they move the line along pretty quick and efficient. The pizza is baked really quickly, maybe less than 7 minutes. There are lots of seating and the pizza is scrumptious! I really like how they top your pizza with BBQ sauce too! Good job and concept!

=FRESH PIZZA=
Perfectly made from scratch, fresh, thin crust (just the way I like it), and yummy!

1) Green Stripe - Pesto drizzle over chicken, red peppers, garlic, mozzarella, arugula. Extra topping of artichokes. ...GARLIC...YES!!!!! This gave my pizza such a delicious flavor! And why would anyone who has the option to have artichokes NOT get artichokes? (Of course, boyfriend -____-). This was a very good pizza. I honestly would would swap the arugula out for basil the next time I come here. Basil does so much for flavor!

2) BBQ Chicken - Chicken, mozzarella, red onion, banana peppers, gorgonzola, bbq sauce drizzle. Extra topping of Italian sausage. GORGONZOLA, you amazing cheese! Every time I have gorgonzola, my taste buds thank and love me. I don't normally order cheese...but when I do, I make sure it's strong and potent! I think this one would've tasted much better with jalapeños!

=Blood Orange Lemonade=
This was pretty good. Very tart and a little bit of sweet, but what is lemonade if not tart? I really liked it and would prefer it over any other drink here! However, I would try this first before you fill your cup...for example, my boyfriend did NOT like it (too tart for his taste)!

=SERVICE=
So much simpler than when I tried Pieology! At Blaze, we told them what we wanted, and added stuff as we went down the line! (Pieology confused the beejesus out of us!) The people at Blaze were fast at making it, and so helpful when we were trying to figure out what to get! AND...when they say they're done in 180 seconds, they are seriously done in 180 seconds! It comes out hot, fresh, and delicious. It's awesome! When we got there around 8:30 on a Saturday evening, there was NO line. By the time we left around 9:30...the line was almost to the door! I'd hate waiting.

=FINAL VERDICT=
I wish I came here sooner, but better late than never, right? Honestly, I liked this place a bit more than Pieology. I love that they have thin crusts so it wasn't overwhelmingly crusty. It wasn't soggy either. This is a delicious pizza spot and I'm glad it's close by home! Nothing too bad to say about this place except for the Pasadena parking situation, and the ridiculous line on a busy night.

I've been wanting to go to Pieology for quite awhile, but haven't had the chance. I was in the neighborhood and saw Blaze ... seeing as how it's almost similar to Pieology, I decided to give it a try. Workers are quite friendly and nice, and since it was my first time there, one of them walked me through the ordering process.

Basically it's the Subway/Chipotle of pizzas. You can build your own custom pizza ($7.45 ish), have a 1 topping pizza (sauce, cheese and one topping) or have a simple pie )mozzarella, parmesan and red sauce). There's also signature pizzas for the same price as the build your own, or salads/side salad. As well as drinks and dessert (s'more pies for $2 each).

I decided to build my own since I wanted my pizza to be overflowing with toppings. I had red sauce, mozzarella and gorgonzola cheese, banana peppers, cherry tomatoes, olives, green bell peppers, mushrooms, oregano, applewood bacon, grilled chicken and pepperoni. Yeah, lots of stuff!! I would have added even more, but the dude behind me was really impatient (as he had only ordered a few toppings and was waiting for me to finish ... really annoying). You pay and they put your thin crust pizza into the oven and you wait til your name is called before picking it up.

While the concept and everything is quite nice, I didn't find my pizza really great. When they say it's "fast fired" it really is fast fired. The toppings on the top looked barely cooked and the mushrooms were still quite raw. Also, I couldn't taste any of the meat that I put onto my pizza! The crust was really thin - too thin for my liking. Didn't really feel like eating a pizza. I ended up scraping the toppings off before eating the crust by itself, and the crust was really chewy where the ingredients were and hard on the top. And I decided to throw some cheese and pepper from their shakers onto the pizza. Too bad it wasn't parmesan cheese ... but goat cheese. Ugh, I hate goat cheese. They should have a warning or a label. Made my pizza taste even more horrible.

I wish I had read about the drinks earlier because I only got a cup of water. I heard the lemonades are pretty darn good.

The booths and tables are quite comfortable, but I don't like the sound quality of the restaurant. Not sure if because of the way it's designed or because the table close by was just loud, but all I could hear was the chatter coming from the table. Definitely not a place to come to if you want to take a significant other out to a romantic date. This is more of a casual quick eating place.

First impression... I actually liked this place. It's Pieology without me having to go to the OC... Perfect.

Prices are cheap for a whole mini pizza... Compared to Settebetto and CPK nearby too! Really good price.

Ambiance: cool, trendy spot, lots of seats
Thy have empty pizza boxes on the counter in case you don't finish it and wanna take it to go - smart.

Food: wanted gluten free but they didn't have any. It's $3 extra but I'm ok with that but they didn't have it.

Got the BBQ chicken and white top

Thin crust pizza in less than a minute!wow! It was fast! I love the speed!

BBQ chicken was delish but it's like every BBQ chicken... The white top was amazing! Ricotta cheese, bacon, mozzarella, etc! Sooooo good!

Price: $6.85 starting

Service: fast. It's like a subway, you order and they pass it to the front.

Parking: street or target

Overall: fast, cheap, easy - my three favorite things
